Ok I know I havent recapped anything for you guys yet and I promise I will!! I am hoping to do that today while I am watching the Chargers game but I cant promise anything. I will include some pictures at the bottom of this post from our SF trip and some other randomness :)

I did want to post at least 1 blog entry today so I saw this awesome If... survey and decided to take it because you all probably remember how much I love surveys. Hmm maybe its because I am self absorbed ;)

If...

•If I were to get pregnant...I would be scared shitless and really confused and torn. I am not ready for a kid whatsoever right now.
•If I could have any job in the world…hmm this is difficult. I would either be an event planner focused on working with sport teams and venues.

•If I had a day to myself...get a massage, read a book at a park under a beautiful tree, watch some tv, and go to Starbucks or Panera and people watch :)

•If I could get married all over again…well considering I have never been married I would have my dream wedding. Colors would be a navy blue and yellow with sunflowers and caulli lillies. The ceremony would be short (we're talking 15 minutes max) and the reception would be super long. It would be beautifully decorated but more importantly it will be a ton of fun with an awesome DJ, yummy food, and an open bar.

•If I could live anywhere in the U.S...I am happy in CA in the city that I am. i would just prefer to live in one of the historic homes or up in the hills

•If I were to have more children...I dont have any children currently but I want 2-3 kids.

•If I could have any talent in the world...I would be a world class chef

•If you met me in real life...I hope you would like me. you would think I am sweet and funny but a little bit bitchy ;) Oh and I am a bit quirky

•If I went back to school...I would go back for my MBA in organizational leadership :)

•If money were not an object...I would buy a gorgeous house and hire an interior decorator, I would get a Ferrari F430, and I would put a bunch of money in savings so I can continue to live a great life. I wouild also dionate to a charity

•If I could meet one celebrity...hmmmm if I was single it would be ryan gosling. But I think I would want to meet Anne Hathway or Katy Perry. I think I would have a lot in common with these girls because they seem down to earth and funny.

•If I could shop at only one store for the rest of my life...hmmmm this is hard. Only for clothes? Hmm I have become addicted with Banana Republic but is this my own money? Probably a department store like Macy's or Nordstrom even though Nordstroms might be too much for me right now.

•If I could choose an animal/pet...Well I have dogs and cats so I would say a horse if I had someone to take care of the gross duties. If not then probably a chinchilla

•If I could go on a trip right now...PARIS! Hands down that is easy

•If I had to choose between a house cleaner and personal chef...House cleaner for sure. I hate hate hate cleaning and I dont really do it so ya. I actually like cooking and I am fairly good (read: decent) at it so while it might be fun to have a personal chef I would miss cooking.

•If I had the option to get plastic surgery…I would get a boob job. I do like my boobs and I am still young so they are still perky but I have noticed that when I lay down sometimes it gets uncomfortable because part of my boob feels like its under my arm pit. I would like my boobs to look perky and perfect regardless of my age and if/when I have kids

This is the newest addition to our family. Our kitty, Pikachu, is the sweetest and most lovable cat ever. He isnt happy unless he is cuddling with us

We also went on a day trip to Sea World and had a lot of fun. That was my favorite sea lion and I even was able to feed him

I also had my birthday while I was gone so I am now 24... This was Kevin's bday present to me. I got to meet my favorite Laker player, Ron Artest.

I'm a magician

I have decided that I am a pretty fantastic magician. Why , you may be asking yourself? Well I mean look at how many times I am able to just disappear from here. Sometimes for weeks at a time and sometimes I'm gone for months. Pretty impressive right?

Well I'm going to try to come back again but I can't make any promises. Hopefully this weekend I'll write a recap blog. For now I just wanted to say hello and let you know that I am alive and well. I also wanted to say happy fall!!! It has become my favorite season because of foot all and pumpkin and holidays starting.

Please comment and tell me what is new in your life. Trying to get caught up on your blogs but I can't read them all. :)

SFC Week 6 (3..6... thats how I count)

Hiya strangers! Well life and work has been crazy lately (as always) so hence my disappearance from bloggy world. 2 weeks ago I was in Vegas for a trade show and then last week was the work week I have been dreading. My boss was with me all week on sales calls so needless to say it was a hectic and stressful week.

I still need to do my SF trip recap and my Vegas trips as well. I have so many photos to share with you guys! I also fell behind on the Spring Fever Challenge and I missed weeks 4 &5. Oh well... No need to dwell on it, I will just update you all now on my goals and hopefully do my recaps within the next year ;)

This Week's Questions

1) What have you done this past week to help you achieve your goals?
~I go back and forth on my healthy lifestyle. I don't ever eat super unhealthy. I don't like most fast food or fatty fried food so its pretty easy to stay away from that stuff (a plus). BUT because of travels and being on the road well I havent been super healthy. I am concious about ordering the healthiest food on the menu. So I am doing ok with this goal.
~Gym=FAIL! You try going to the gym when youre traveling and working super long days. I was completly out of a routine the last 2 weeks. I think I went just a couple of times. But I am going to try super hard this week
~I clean up after myself but I havent done any chores in a while. I am better about doing my laundry so thats an improvement :)
~I see a big improvement in my self confidence lately. I have been feeling prettier lately. I also am comfortable with my weight and body. I also worked on my inner strength this week and not letting people walk all over me. I stood up for myself and it felt good.
~I am working on my temper and lazyiness. I think I did pretty good with temper last week. I also have worked on my sensitivty and it is getting better. Good progress
~Great past few weeks for this. I got my bonus check which was nice and I put a bunch of money in savings and haven't touched it. I paid all my bills right away and didn't spend too much money on non-necessities. I have a paycheck coming this Friday and I still have a lot of money left. So proud
~ For April my books were Laker Girl by Jeanne Buss (which now I am thinking is what caused the Lakers to lose) and Onward by Howard Schultz. I recommend both books. For May I am reading House Rules and it is a long book so Im not sure if I will have time to read a second.
2) What have you done this week to make yourself feel good?

I spent the weekend over at my mom's and I was able to see my two best friends that I haven't seen in a long time (one 3 months and one 7 months). I also played games with the family and went to Hookah with my little brother. Then Sunday was spent with Kevin's family. it was a great weekend

3) What goal are you having the most difficult time with? Do you have a plan to make it better?

I would say its probably a tie between Live a Healthier Lifestyle and Do More Around the House. I am going to start cooking more and buying more groceries so that Im forced to eat healthier. Kevin and I also plan to take daily walks with the dog. As far as doing more around the house...well I guess I can just suck it up and clean more

4) What goal are you rocking? Do you plan on keeping the momentum?

I am rocking the reading 2 books a month. I love reading and its nice to set aside time in my busy life to read. I plan on rocking this even more and going to Barnes & Noble more like I use to. This past week I have been rocking the money so hopefully I keep that up. Thats probably the most important goal.

5) Fun question: What is your favorite Board Game?

This is a very difficult question for me because I LOVE LOVE games. I am happiest when I am having a game night. some of my favorites are Scatergories, Loaded Questions, and The Game of Things. I also like Tabboo a lot as well.

SFC Week 3- Working hard for my money

Sorry I have been kind of sparse lately. With my vacation and then my turnaround trip to Vegas I have not really been on the computer much. I will do some recaps soon but I have to get a USB cable for my camera and it is finding difficult to find. If you know where I could get one please let me know. :) This week I may not be able to post much because it is a SUPER stressful week for me at work.

So its time for SFC Week 3... I was suppose to post this yesterday but that proved to be impossible... Sorry :(

~I have been eating pretty healthy lately. , I dont eat fast food or fried food. Even when we went out to dinner last Friday I got salmon and a salad. Also even when I was drunk in Vegas I ate a Cesar's salad.... I do need to start taking vitamins. I have been better at drinking water

~I had to give up on running because I have 2 bad ankles and it was proving to be too painful to run. I failed at going to the gym last week but I did walk some and I was sick. I did go on Thursday even though I was super sick.

~Ive been trying to clean up after myself and not leave stuff around. I still need to work more on this goa

~I failed on the self confidence this past week. I have been feeling really down about myself. I have been doing stuff for myself though. Like taking naps, reading, and going out of town.

~I failed on personal growth and working on weaknesses though. Big time.

~I have been good with my money and even when I was in Vegas I stuck to how much I planned on spending there.

~ I finished Laker Girl by Jeannie Buss and I recommend it to any girl that enjoys sports ESPECIALLY if you are a Laker fan. It was a great read. I am halfway through 2 books now. One is the newest Starbucks book out Onward by Howard Schultz. This one is another great book focusing on how a company overcame challenges.

2) What have you done this week to make yourself feel good?

I went on a turnaround Vegas trip with 2 of my girl friends. It was a lot of fun especially because we went on a party bus. I think letting go and taking another weekend off was needed.

3)Are your SFC goals your ultimate goals or steps to your ultimate goals? Do you find it easier to set big goals or mini-goals?

These are not my ultimate goals they are just baby steps that will help me reach my ultimate goals. I like making mini goals because I feel that its tough to just say "I want to feel comfortable with myself" well how are you going to go about doing that? You have to be healthy, work on your self esteem, and not care what

others think. Or if you say "i want to be rich" well how? Save money and work hard at your job so that you can climb up the ladder.

4)What are your ultimate goals, things on your bucket list?

Ultimate Goals: Be happy with who I am, Be very successful and live a comfortable lifestyle, travel, and be great in any realtionship Im in (girlfriend or wife, mother, friend, daughter, etc).

Bucket List: Travel the world, Go to every single baseball park and football stadium, have kids, sky diving, and many more.

5) If you could achieve just one more thing in your life what would it be?

I would want to be the best person that I can be to my loved ones. i want my friends to enjoy being around me and know that they can come to me with any issues they have. I want to be the best possible girlfriend to Kevin. And I want to be a better daughter and sister to my family. Does that count? Be the best that I can be. Haha

Wee Bit Wednesdays and Im Sick

Hello everybody! Yes, I am sick... It always happens when I travel. Maybe I should start taking some Emergen-C or some vitamins to make my immune system stronger. My body doesnt seem to do well with temperature differences. In SF it was cold and windy which is probably why I have an ear infection and cold that has led to some type of respiratory illness (shortness of breath and chronic coughing). Im trying to take it easy today but vacation has put me behind at work so I am also trying to get work done so its not a HORRIBLE month for me; thats looking to be the case.

Nope, not that I recall. I have come close a couple of times though

{two} what is your favorite casino game?

Blackjack. Hands down! Its the only game I gamble on when I go to Vegas (except for the one time I wasted $20 playing Roulette). I LOVE Blackjack!

{three} do you have a good sense of direction?

Haha... Not at all!! I have the worst sense of direction ever! I hardley know how to reverse directions. I rely heavily on my GPS

{four} laptop or desktop?

Laptop all the way. I cant remember the last time I even used a desktop.

{five} what is your go-to hair style when having a bad hair day?

The poof for sure. I pull most of my hair into a tight ponytail and then my "bangs" (really its just the hair in front thats shorter than my other hair but in no way bangs bc it goes down to my chin) I pin back into a poof.

{six} do you read the newspaper on a daily basis?

Not at all. i never read the newspaper.

{seven} do you have a favorite celebrity chef?

Yes... I love Gordon Ramsey. I love the fact that he is an Asshole!

{eight} what tv show would you like to make a guest appearance on?

Oooo Im going to steal 2 great choices: The Office (thx Leigh Ashley). Man I can watch this show over and over. I think it would be a fun show to guest star on. Grey's Anatomy (thx Amy @ Life's Journey with a Smile). Another show I love and man o man the guys on this show are mmm mmm good.

{nine} do you have satellite radio in your car?

Nope but I would love one. One of the cars I rented to go to Vegas had one and I loved it. It would be a great investment for me since I drive A LOT and drive the 4-5 hour drive to Vegas every 2 or 3 months.

{ten} what was the last movie that made you cry?

I dont recall but here is a list of some movies that have made me cry: "The Notebook", "Definitely, Maybe", "I am Sam", and "P.S. I love You"

SFC Week 2 and Boo Hoo Vacataion is Almost Over

Good morning everyone! This is the earliest I have woken up on vacation... But today we have a full day because we have the Giants vs. Dodgers game tonight. Please wish us good thoughts because we are Dodger fans and the spirits around here are that all Dodger fans were responsible for the beating of the Giants fan. So I am hoping that tonight goes well and we dont recieve a lot of shit.

Anywhosit, today is the posting for the 2nd week of the Spring Fever Challenge and I am sad to report that I didnt do much the first week (can I blame it on the vacation?)

This Week's Questions

1) What have you done this week to achieve your goals?

Not much sadly :(

Goal 1: Live a Healthier Lifestyle

Well I tried to eat healthier (aside from some of the stuff on vacation). I also worked out regularly last week.

-I ate a veggie egg white omlete this week and I havent had any red meat at all.

-I eat pescetarian most of the time now because Kevin is a Pescatarian for 6 months

-I went to the gym/worked out 4 times last week.

Goal 2: Train for a 5K and a 10K

I did some runs before I left for vacation but havent done any here as planned. However, even though I havent been working out while on vacation the long hilly walks we have been taking are good training.

Goal 3: Do More Around the House

I did do this last week. Especially with Kevin's grandma moving in with us. I cleaned up a bit more. I also did almost all my laundry including folding it and putting it away (which usually takes me a week to do).

Goal 4: Build self-confidence and do More for Myself

Well I am trying to work on my self-confidence but this is a slow path. I have allowed myself to indulge a bit but thats easy on vacation. I would say because of vacation I have done well on this goal.

Goal 5: Work on Weakness and have Personal Growth

I have tried to be more aware of my temper and anger issues. I also have tried to stop and think before I react.

Goal 6: Be Better with Money and Save

Can I get a free pass this week because of vacation? Thanks!

Goal 7: Read 2 Books a month

Well I bought SEVERAL books at Borders because the one up here is closing down and had 80% off everything. The book I am currently reading is Laker Girl by Jeanie Buss.

2)What did you do this past week to make you feel good about yourself?

Well I went out dancing the first night of our vacation. i love dancing because its a lot of fun plus I know I am a good dancer so it makes me feel sexy.

3)Is your mind future-oriented or in the now? How does this affect you when working on your goals

Mostly I am future-oriented, I am always thinking abot what my life will be like and what can I do to reach my ultimate goal. I think it helps in achieving my goals bc I can see the end result and work harder to achieve it.

4) Is there someone in your real life that makes you strive to do your best?

Yes, it is Kevin. He keeps me on my toes. He points out my weaknesses (not in a bad way but in a helpful way) and helps me figure out easy solutions for them. He praises me when I do well. He overall wants me to be happy and he encourages me to grow as a person esxpecially with my self confidence.

5) Fun Question: Do you read Blogs on the actual Website or through Google Reader?

I go to the individual website. 1) I dont understand Google Reader 2) I like to read my blogs on their home site. Its cooler that way (in my opinion)

Okay I guess it wasnt as bad of a week in terms of keeping up with the goals. I have bought a notebook to keep better track of my goals and what Im doing or need to do to accompolish them. Hopefully I remember to use it.

Now I am off to finish my vacation. Ill be back on Tuesday or Wednesday with a recap.

GTKY Sunday and Are we sure this isnt Vegas?

Hi Everybody!! Ok so my trip has been AMAZING thus far but I keep calling it San FranVegas because its been one of those trips. We are tourists during the day and partiers at night. I started calling it San FranVegas because the first night we met up with one of our friends who lives up here (plus his friends) and we ended up staying out till 5 am. If thats not Vegas like then I dont know what else is.

Last night was awesome too because we went on a ghost hunt and made some friends, came back to our room to drink with them went out to a karaokee bar (didnt get to sing) then came back and drank more.

During the days so far we have been to Fisherman's Wharf, Ghiradelli Square, Lombard St., and Union Square. We have done the Wax Museum, ate a lot, did a Ghost Hunt, and lots of sightseeing. Today we are doing Alcatraz!

1. do you watch/read the news?

Not really too much. I try to stay up to date by reading it a bit but I dont make a habbit of it. I should be better about that

2. how would you describe your "look"?

Im pretty girly and I like to wear hoochie clothes sometimes ;) I dont know. I never think of labeling my look. i wear what makes me comfortable and what I think I look pretty in

3. did you play sports in high school or college?

Yes, I ran CC and track all four years of high school (Captain as well). Then my freshman year of college I ran CC and track until I got too injured to do so anymore.

4. would you rather give up lipstick/gloss or high heels?

Lipgloss for sure, didn't even have to think about that. i mean I love lipgloss but uh I would kill anyone who tried to take my heels away from me.

5. what's your favorite show to watch on tv?

The Office all the way!!! I love it. Ok I also like Grey's Anatomy and a bunch of reality competition shows like Cupcake Wars, Project Runway, Chopped, Top Chef, etc. (mostly food)

I want a Jim and Kevin wants a Pam...We have stayed together over our love of The Office ;)

6. would you rather bake or cook?

Cook but I like baking too

8. what's your favorite scary movie?

HMM I dont know. Ill watch any scary movie once and thats usually it lol

Waiting on an Airplane. :) Foodie Adventures & a Review

SOOOOOOOo we kind of missed our flight this morning. Blame it on me taking forever to get ready and thinking that dancing around was a better alternative to putting my clothes on (hey can you blame me?). Anyway, we probably could have made it but we didnt want to do the classic running through the terminal and screaming to "hold that plane!" Instead we Kevin being the chill ~~people we are~~ person he is decided to just get put on the standby for the next flight. Done and done. We shall be boarding the plane at 10:40 am and getting to SF at 12 pm. I say thats a good plan.

This is the coach cabin. Pretty nice eh?

The Virgin America terminal is so cool. When checking in you are greeted with mood lighting and music and hot pink walls. (I love hot pink!) The service is amazing and helpful. The actual terminal is circular in shape and has super comfortable seats to wait in and FREE WiFi! (no not all terminals have this. I know for a fact that Terminal 5 at LAX does not). It has been a pretty relaxing morning (aside from me stressing out about being late).

Since I have time I decided to do a Foodie Thursday post and do a review of Shenandoah at the Arbor which is a restaurant we went on our last foodie adventure. Now I am not a good writer and Kevin won't do the review for me (pouty face) so bear with me

The Basics: Shenandoah is an American Cuisine restaurant with a homestyle/kitchy feel. It features recipes that the chefs and owners have gathered from all around the US including Galveston, TX, San Francisco, and Louisana.

Atmosphere: As soon as you walk into Shenandoah you feel as if you walked into your typical grandmothers house (I know it remind me a lot of my paternal grandma). The dining area is designed to look like a home with the intimate atmosphere and the vintage cabnients and mismatched linens. It just makes you want to take off your shoes and stay awhile.

I really love the mismatch linens.

Service: The service is fantastic and you are treated like you are family. As soon as you are seated you are served the most delicious fresh out of the oven apple fritters, you just have to make sure not to eat too many. The first time we came the waiter got to know Kevin and I (and by the end of our dinner even knew our anniversary) and he was very helpful in our choices. We always ask what they recommend and it always tastes delicious.

Doesn't that just scream "Eat me!"

Food: The food is delicious and their servings are huge so you always have leftovers to look forward to (and trust me they taste even better the 2nd time around). My favorite dish here is called the Galveston Pasta and it is unlike anything you have ever tasted. The description is "Penne, shrimp, chicken, & Andouille sausage, in a jalapeno tequila cream sauce". Their speciality here is their sauces; no matter what you get you can guarentee that the sauce will make the dish. Some other notable dishes are their Dixie Style Fried Chicken which is what they're famous for and their Riverwalk Steak (once again an amazing sauce tops it off).

Rating: 5 Stars. Excellent service, warm atmosphere, fantastic food, and great drinks. Great for an afternoon lunch with the girls or a romantic date night. I haven't tasted one thing on the menu that doesnt make you think "Wow this is fantastic" If you are ever in Orange County or near Long Beach, CA I recommend to check it out.

Wee Bit Wednesdays and OMG leaving for VACATION TOMORROW!!

Hiya! How are you all doing this lovely Wednesday??

ME? I am super super duper excited (even though that scares me) because Im leaving on vacation tomorrow with kevin. Its our longest vacation that we have taken together (usually we have done weekend getaways). We will be flying Virgin America (its the only airline kevin will fly) to San Francisco tomorrow morning. We will be there for 5 days and 5 nights. We will be eating at yummy restaurants, going to visit key tourist sites (including Alcatraz), and having lots of relaxed fun. We will also be going to a Dodgers vs. Giants game...Go Dodgers! I may be working 1 or 2 half days while im up there because I have quite a few customers in San Francisco. I am excited!!

Okay so its time for Wee Bit of Me Wendesdays. Its a new button because Leigh Ashley changed her blog layout and I must say I am loving it :)

{one} what is one food that, as an adult you love, but as a child you said you’d never touch?

Sushi... I could eat it every single day but as a child I scoffed at the idea of eating raw fish.

{two} did you go to college? if yes, what was your major?

I went to college and graduated. I picked my majors as a freshman and never turned back. I was a double major in Economics and Business with a focus on Marketing.

{three} what’s the most wild animal you’ve seen in real life (not counting the zoo)?

A bear... It was scary, for Cross Country camp my freshman year of college we went to Mammoth. The girls were in the cabin and the boys were in a tent. Well one night the boys all ran into our cabin screaming bc I guess the bear was watching them sleep. Fun times

{four} have you ever been to a fortune teller?

Nope.

{five} can you juggle?

I always tried to but I cant. I can do it with the easy scarves no problem but I cant do it with balls or any other objects. (Am I immature because balls make me laugh?)

Its call Chocolate Tartufu. Its a chocolate Gellato with a Zabione Cream center topped with cocoa powder and hazelnuts. It was delcious. Also Im looking forward to getting a chococolate chocolate sundae from Ghiradelli Square in SF.

{ten} how often do you rearrange your furniture?

Whenever Kevin wants to rearrange it it gets rearranged. He is the decorating person around here and he has good tastes so I go along with it :)

Hiya folks! So its tough for me to get motivated to blog sometimes which is why I love the little blog hop parties and what not. First off Im going to give you the quick rundown of my weekend

Friday: Game night!

Saturday: Foodie Adventure (Im going to do a review on the restaurant we went to on an upcoming Foodie Thursday). Kevin & Bean's April Foolishness charity comedy show. The line up consisted of Jimmy Kimmel, Ray Romano, Patton Oswalt, Jim Jeffries, Bill Buhr, Steve-o, and a few more. IT WAS AMAZING!

Sunday: Lazy day and then Grey's Anatomy at Dlo's

All in all a fantastic weekend. AND I leave for vacation in less than 48 hours. San Francisco here we come!

Well I have several furbabies but I feel like PeeWee doesnt get as much attention on my blog so Ill focus on him.

This is my favorite picture because he is staring right at the camera. You could see in his eyes that he is a happy dog who LOVES his owners

Fun Facts about PeeWee:

1) He is super loyal and he thinks he is a scary guard dog.

2) He LOVES cats and thinks that they are his best friend. Him and our youngest cat Athena are best buds

3) He knows that Angela (one of our cats) is pregnant so he doesnt tackle her anymore. He just sniffs her tummy then walks away.

4) He prances when he runs. Literally he looks like a deer or something. We call him prancer sometimes because of it

5) He knows how to roll down windows when he is in the car but his smartness stops there because he trys to jump out of the car when Im on the freeway. So I have to lock the windows which pisses him off.

6) He thinks he is a big dog and he gets along best with the big dogs when we are at the beach.

7) He is 100% a momma's boy

Spring Fever Challenge

Hello everyone! So I am pretty excited because I decided to participate in Spring Fever happening over at Life’s Journey with a Smile. It is a fun and inspirational challenge where you set goals for yourself for the spring and report on how you are doing on them.

Every week I will be posting an update along with a positive picture and something I did the following week that made me happy. I am really excited because I am hoping this will keep me on track with the goals I have already set for myself. Sorry that these may be longer posts but I hope they don’t bore you as I would love your feedback!
Positive Picture:

This picture makes me happy because the Dodgers are off to a great start and we won 3 out of our first 4 games. We basically showed the Giants who were boss (sorry I dont like the Giants). I hope the Dodgers win when we go to the game in San Francisco on the 11th.

Do Good for Myself:

So I dont think this technically starts until next week but i did have a feel good moment this week to share. I went to an awesome comedy show (April Foolishness); laughter is the best medicine

This Weeks Questions:

1) What are your Goals?My Spring Fever Goals: (It may seem like a lot but I have faith in myself)

Goal # 1:Live a healthier lifestyle.

Eat healthier and keep a food log
Exercise at least 5 days a week
Drink lots of water

Goal # 2: Train and complete a 5K and a 10K

Goal # 3:Do more around the house

Cleaning. I hate it but I need to get over it and just clean
Laundry. I need to stop waiting till the last minute to do this. Try to do laundry on a weekly basis.

Goal # 4: Build Self-Confidence and do more for Myself

I sometimes care too much about what other people so I am working on not caring about it as much.
I’m going to try to be a bit more selfish because I don’t do much for myself and I spread myself too thin and ignore my own need

Goal # 5: Personal Growth/Work on Weaknes

Work on temper and sensitivity
Organization (work, house, day)

Goal #6: Be better at saving money & have better spending habits

Goal #7: Read at least 2 books a month

2) Why did you choose these goals? Well I feel like these goals are pretty well rounded and it affects every part of my life (health, work, personal, and relationships). My main goal is to make myself a better person inside and out so that was the motivation for most of my goals. I really want to be a healthier person (physically and mentally) which I feel will most of my goals help with that.

3) What is your plan of action to make them happen? All of my goals will have mini goals so that they feel more attainable then I have the following ideas:

Exercise and food journal through mapmyrun.com. It’s a great site that keeps track of calories and miles ran.
Personal Growth, Organization, and books- I am going to keep a journal to stay on track
Saving Money- I have a specific amount of money that I have to put into my savings account per paycheck. I am also going to keep a closer log of my bills and spending
Rewards (Yes I am a little kid that is motivated by rewards) If I have a good week I will get myself ice cream or some other type of reward

4) What does this challenge mean to you? It means I am on the right track to becoming a better person. It will also show that I’m a strong person with will power if I am able to meet these goals. It will give my everyday life more meaning than usual.

5) Fun Question: What is something most people don’t know about you? I am obsessed with post it notes. They actually make me super happy and I get excited when I go to an office supply store just to look at the post its.

Already a SO-So Sunday... GTKY Sunday

So today is going to be blah because I have a lot to do. I have to do a lot of cleaning and laundry and if you have been around here long enough you know I HATE cleaning. But you gotta do what you gotta do.

Anyway, before I start doing the dreaded I figured I would do some Getting to Know You Sunday of course.

1. do you weigh yourself?

I occassionally weigh myself. Sometimes after a hard workout at the gym I feel like I should weigh myself.

2. what's the nastiest thing you've ever eaten?

Hmmm I dont know..I try to not remember the nasty tasting things.

3. snail mail or email?

I prefer email because the only stuff I get through snail mail is bills. I dont get a lot of mail either way from friends. Texting is the way we communicate

4. do you have any irrational fears...what are they?

I dont think any of my fears are irrational. Ok fine i am afraid of soggy bread. It really grosses me out.

5. do you play an instrument?

Nope I have no musical or artistic talent whatsoever.

6. would you rather be bitten by a snake or attacked by a bear?

Definetly a snake, I feel like I have the opportunity to survive that. If I was malled by a bear I dont think I would be walking away alive or with all my limbs.

7. do you ever go braless in public?

Never in public... Call me a horrible person but I get grossed out if I can tell someone is not wearing a bra. I dont need to see your nipples through your thin shirt. Im sure there are people that dont wear a bra and I cant tell and thats fine. I have smaller boobs and I always wear bras.

8. today i am thankful for........................?

Happy Saturday everyone and a Happy one at that! Well of course I am linking up to Dandelion's Wishes Happy List because what better way to start your Saturday?

I am Happy because:

I had a game night last night with some pretty close friends, some of which I hadnt seen in a while.

I am happy because yesterday my boss told me that I had a fantastic quarter and that I made my quarterly bonus along with full commissions for febuary which means an extra $4150 (well before taxes ater it will be almost half) for me...Going into my savings baby!!

Ok so maybe Im a little obsessed with money... Sorry

I am double happy about the above statement haha. Like seriously I worked my booty off. And we increased sales by 14% for the quarter (I am trying to improve by 20% for the year bc one of the head guys in France said I could go to France if I was able to do that... a girl can dream right?)

I will go here one day!

I am happy that kevin's grandma is moving in. I am glad we can give her a place to stay and she is such a nice lady.

I am happy that we are having a foodie adventure with our friends Sarah and Mig (its a monthly or biweekly event). We are either going to one of our favorite restaurants or we are going to this big food truck festival with over 75 food trucks.

I am happy that tonight me and Kevin are going to the Kevin (different kevin) & Bean's April Foolishness show. It is a charity comedy event and some of the lineup includes Jimmy Kimmel, Axis of Awesomeness, Paton Oswalt (kev's favorite), Bill Burr, and Ray Romano.

I am happy that it is April and it is a new month! April is my 2nd favorite month after all.

I am happy that we are leaving on vacation Thursday... San Francisco here we come.

I am happy that LA has been having some great sport days. LA Dodgers have won their first two games (and beat the hated Giants... Im sorry they are my rivals). The LA Lakers have won the last 2 days while the San Antonio Spurs have lost 6 in a row so the Lakers have a chance to finish #1 (as it should be)

I am happy that Im going to Vegas this month. I am happier because I might be going twice. Once for pleasure the weekend of the 15th and once for work from the 26th to 30th.

I am happy that I have such a long happy list because I was feeling kinda down in the dumps yesterday but now I am super happy because I see how blessed I am

So yes as you can see from some of the items in my Happy List I have a fantastic day lined up and Im super excited about it. However, around here the word excited scares us. Why? Well because whenever me and Kev are excited about something it usually blows up in our face. Like if Kev is excited to see me well then for some reason when I come home I act like a mega witch to him. Or if we are excited for a party we are hosting it usually gets cancelled or turns to a dud. So around here we try not to use that word.

But im being extra optimistic and Im going to say that today will be a great day with no issues... (but ill knock on wood just in case).

Hello Everybody...Top of the morning (or afternoon) to all of you. I have a feeling today is going to be a blah day so I have to try super hard to motivate myself to do work.

I am proud of myself because I ran 2 miles yesterday...While my times werent where I would ideally like them to be I have to realize that I am just starting out again and I cant be at the point where I am averaging 7 min/mile. I also did 1 hour of hot zumba yesterday. It was only hot zumba because the air wasnt working and I SWEAR it was 100 DEGREES in there. I never sweated that much in my entire life...

{one} if you won a trip to Disneyland/world, who would you take with you?

I would take Kevin and it will be to Disneyworld. 1) We both have never been 2) He is a lot of fun to take places 3) He would kill me if I didnt take him ;)

{two} when was the last time you listened to a CD?

I would say probably 6 months ago and it was Taylor Swift

{three} what spice/seasoning is your favorite?

I LOVE spices. It is what makes my food tastes so yummy. My obsession is Tapatio. I love it. My favorite seasoning to cook with is Garlic Salt. Really anything with Garlic I love

Makes my mouth water!

{four} if you were in a band, what kind of music would you play?

Um Crappy music? Oh are we assuming that I would have talent? Probably hard rock then yah!!

{five} if you could have personally witnessed one historical event, which one would it be?

Hmmm this is a tough one. I would say to be there when the automobile was invented because that is something that completly changed the world. :)

{six} if you could go back to school, what would you study?

I would go back for my MBA with an emphasis on Business Development/Management. I also want to go to school so I can do event planning/wedding coordination on the side.

{seven} if you could go to one sporting event, all expenses paid, which one would you see?

The Super Bowl… Easiest question I have ever had to answer ever. I will go see one Super Bowl before I die!

{eight} do you drive an automatic or a manual?

I dive an automatic. I dont know how to drive stick...I feel it might be something I should learn how to do.

{nine} are you comfortable speaking in front of people?

In front of a large crowd? Not really but I get warmed up and then I can do a fairly good job. I think everyone gets nervous before that.

{ten} have you ever experienced an earthquake?

Of course, I live in CA for goodness sake. I have experienced more earthquakes than I count. I am lucky that I havent experienced a big one.

Ok well... Its going to be a crazy week as its the last week of the month and quarter. I am legitamately stressed out for the first time in my current job. Oh well I just need to get past this week. that is why I didnt really have time nor the motivation to do a post yesterday.

Here is my quick weekend recap:

Friday: Took my friend to the airport then had couples game night. (I wrote about it in my Happy List)
Saturday: Layed around all day. That night we went over to my neighbor's house to a party over there. It was a lot of fun but I might have had a bit too much fun when explains my sunday.
Sunday: :Layed in bed most of the day and was 100% lazy. Went over to Buck and Dlo's that night to watch the Laker game. Had yummy chicken fajitas taco (with Tapatio my obsession) and Sees suckers for dessert. We also watched a lot of ~~Weapon Warriors~~ Deadliest Warriors on Spike.

Yep it was a lovely weekend full of a lot of lazyness and fun times.

So yesterday I decided that I was going to start training for a half marathon. Yep the thoughts that just pop into my head. SOOOOOO I will be running my first half marathon on Oct 9,2011. I was a competitive runner for 6 years but I did mostly middle distance (mile and 800). I did Cross country for 5 years but the longest distance I ever ran was 10 miles. I am pretty excited to get back into running but nervous at the same time (as I need to strengthen my bad ankle)

I have created (bv merging together a variety of different plans) a 7 week program in which I will be running in a 5K and a 10K. Then I will start on a 20 week training program for the 1/2 marathon. So all in all it is a 27 week training program which I feel will be good for me.

So here are my running goals and plans.

Start training today! Thats right folks I will be running a 2.5 miler in just a little bit
Run in a 5K race on April 23. I hope to get 21 minutes or faster (I use to run them in 19-20:30).
Run in a 10K race on May 15. My main goal is to finish without walking. I actually hope to get a time better than 49 min.
Stick to my 27 week training program even with my work and personal travels that I have coming up
Run the 1/2 marathon! My goal is just to finish.

Except it will say 1/2 marathon... :)

I will be proving a lot to myself if I get trained in time and run the whole 1/2 marathon. I will be so proud of myself. I know its going to be a long adventure but I will blog about my progress here. Anyone out there that has ran a 1/2 or full marathon? Any advice

One last thing, I am super excited because we will be leaving for vacation next Thursday! :) YAY!! I cant wait to fly up to SF and just experience the sites. Going to be nice to take a longer vacation then just a weekend

GTKY Sunday and Why am I Up?

Hiya folks! Don't you hate those mornings after a long night where you just cant sleep in even if you were trying? That was me... I kept waking up over and over and trying to go back to sleep but finally I gave up and got out of bed at 8:20 am ummm hello body its fricking Sunday!! Oh well.

I think its funny that the first thing I thought was "I wonder if GTKY is already up" Classic. So go link up over at MannLand5's Getting to Know You Sunday so you can be as cool as me ;)

1. what inspires you?

Friends & Family, the gym, beautiful pictures, money, the need to be a better person

2. what was the last thing you bought yourself?

Does food count? Because I bought myself Panera bread yesterday and it was super tasty.
3. would you rather watch a movie in a theater or from the comfort of your own home?

It really depends but I guess in the theaters. I don't go to see movies a lot but when I do i really enjoy myself. I really want to go see Something Borrowed when that comes out. If its a movie that I am super excited about then I like to go. But usually I just prefer to watch episodes of The Office.
4. household chore you don't mind doing?

I hate hate cleaning so that is really hard. I guess wiping down stuff lol. I really despise all household chores.
5. coffee or tea?

Tea all the way! I especially love making myself Iced Chai Lattes especially because mine taste better than Starbucks... Thanks Keruig! But Hot Chocolate trumps it all

6. what could you eat every day and not get sick of??

Sushi and chocolate... Probably not together
7. what's the last book you read?

wow I dont even know. I need to read on my PanDigital more. Such a bad ebook reader lately. Been too addicted to blogs

8. do you think you look you "look" your age?

No. I look younger and I always get told that. But I think I am starting to look more my age now :) Yay!

Hiya folks! Happy Saturday and a happy one it is! I already feel so accomplished and it is 11:30 am here in semi-sunny CA. I am glad that the rain has subsided for a bit. This week has had some heavy rain (in CA standards) that I have had to do a lot of driving in. Its nice that the weather outside is beautiful; not too hot and not too cold. It is just right!

So it is Saturday and it is time for another Happy List over at Dandelion Wishes. If you are happy (and you should be) then go link up!

I am happy that I woke up early this morning (8:30 am on a weekend is not easy for me) and hit up the gym to do Zumba. (Even if it wasnt the right zumba instructor and she kinda sucked).

I am happy that I am getting the opportunity to dance all the time and it counts as exercising.

I am happy that I have been doing pretty well at not spending friviously. I mean sure I would love to go buy me a pair of shoes or some clothes but I need to work on saving and having better money skills. I have been doing good thus far.

I am happy that my original game and drinking night got cancelled last night because we got to go over to our favorite couple's house. There were 3 of us couples and we went out to Ihop (I was good and had a ham& cheese omlete with eggs substitute with fruit) then we came back and played Loaded Questions adult (I was having extraordinary luck at this game and guessing everyone right)

I am happy that I have the house to myself and I can lay here and just catch up on blogs and take a little nap.

This would be nice too... But Ill take my couch

I am happy that I have been able to turn off work during the weekend. At my last jobs I wasnt ever able to leave work and stress during work hours. I would stress all the time at night and over the weekend. My stress level and happiness has changed remarkably with my current job.

Finally I am happy that I am once again going out to LA to a lounge/club to dance the night away with friends and Kevin. I LOVE dancing (if you havent already figured that out.

Foodie Thursdays

Hiya folks! Happy Thursday! So I am going to introduce a new theme into my blog because you all know (or should know ;) )that I love themes. Food Thursdays (I know its not an aliteration but o well)

I am a pretty big foodie. I love food. There are not too many things that make me happier than food trucks, new restaruants, and food festivals. I am constantly looking for information on restaurant weeks, savor and strolls, and "taste of" towns. If you look Im sure you can find some awesome food events happening around you. I use Yelp as my main resource to find great new places to eat because its nice to see how others rate it and also what they recommend.

Lately my obsession has been Food Trucks. I'm talking about the gourmet food trucks that have specialized menus and have people raving about them. The ones that have the mouth watering menus and the paint job to go along with it. I have tracked them down and fit them into my work schedule so I can start scheduling my appointments around where the highest rated food trucks will be. I have decided Im going to try to eat at a food truck once a week. Yummy!

Every Thursday from 11 am-2 pm there is a Food Truck Fare at the OC fair grounds in Costa Mesa, CA. There are different trucks featured each week. Basically there are 10 food trucks set up in the parking lot all right next to each other ready to fulfill whatever your craving (tacos, bbq, potatoes and fries, meat, sushi, greek, etc).

Mmmmmm Sushi!! I didnt have this one but it looks good eh? That comes out of a van

I stopped by there for the first time and boy I was a super happy camper. I hit up the RollingSushi Van anf got Spicy Tuna Chips and a Baked Lobster Roll. It may be a bit scary at first to get Sushi from a van but it was delicious. For dessert I had Rasberry Louks from Louks to Go. I really wanted the Nutella with banana one but they ran out of bananas. The rasberry one was super good too though.

Nutella Louks... I wish they didnt run out of bananas. Looks soo good.

If you havent tried out a gourmet food truck you are missing out. It is great and unique cusine for inexpensive prices. I would recommend you check out Yelp to find food trucks around you and find out when the best rated trucks will be by your work.

Wee Bit Wednesdays and Workout Update

Hiya folks! Well its time for Wee Bit Wednesdays. Im going to do this before I get my lazy ass ready for work. I love my field days because I have a lot of flexibility but sometimes it makes it really hard to be motivated to get out of the house and go do my job. (But I do I do I promise!). Anyway this time I am going to blame it on Leigh Ashley for her Wee Bit Wednesday ;) Go link up!

{one} what was your first job?

Well I use to be a mothers' helper than a babysitter from a young age. BUT my first real paycheck job was working at a local amusement park where I grew up. I was too young to be a ride operator though so I worked in the cafe and the little carts. My favorite was the ice cream cart

{two} have you ever seen a stand up comedian?

Yes, actually I just saw Jay Mohr at The Improv and OMG he was sooo funny! I was using some of his jokes for the following 2 weeks. I loved it! I want to go to the Improv more

{three} when was the last time you played mini golf?

Its been a while. i use to go pretty often when i was in high school. I think I went to Boomers about a year ago or so and played. I suck at mini golf. I mean hitting the ball into the water bad.

{four} what was the last picture you took?

This weekend, I took pictures with me and the girls. I think the one I took was of my friends dancing at the club

{five} burnt food: yes or no?

Depends what it is. I like my marshmellows and tortillas burnt but thats about it. Also I prefer to call it "charcol"

{six} if you have a pocket full of change, what do you do with it?

Put it in my purse or in my car. Then I use it the next time I go through the drive thru

{seven} can you touch your tongue to your nose?

See its super long and Im not even sticking it out all the way

Yes. I have a long tongue. It reaches to the bottom of my chin

{eight} do you scrapbook?

No but I should... I jsut am not that crafty or patient.

{nine} do you buy lottery tickets?

I have before but I dont do it regularly. I buy scratchers when I am feeling lucky and I buy a lottery ticket or two when the lottery gets up to be really high.

{ten} do you prefer to be in front of the camera or behind it?

In front :)

Workout and Healthy Eating Update:

Ok I think I'll post some of my workouts here so that it can keep me accountable. I have started to eat healthier and to workout more regularly. I don't have a weight loss goal though, I just want to tighten up especially my stomach, and I want to live a healthier life.
So the past two weeks I have been doing pretty well at both these goals. I have been doing multiple classes at 24 hour fitness and have partnered up with gym buddies. Here have been my workouts thus far.

Wed: Zumba for 1 hour

Thursday: Dancing for multiple hours

Saturday: Dancing for 2 hours

Mon: Stairmaster for 10 minutes, 150 crunches, and 1 hour of hip hop class

Tuesday: 1 hour gym workout (150 crunches, leg press, quads and theighs machines with weights, 20 minutes on eliptical). 1 hour of Zumba

On the healthy eating side, Kevin has decided to go Vegetarian for 6 months which annoyed me at first (because Ill have to make 2 meals) but now I realize its going to help me because I can eat vegetarian meals a couple of days a week. If you have ideas of healthy meals (vegetarian or with meat) please let me know.

Yesterday we had Vegetarian Soy dogs on Whole Wheat bread with onions and pickles. Tonight I am making cheese stuffed tortellini salad with spinach.

It was a busy but quick weekend- Clubbing, Drinking, and Nap Times

SO for the past few weekends we have been packing our weekends full of stufff because during the week we dont have much time to do stuff. While its great to be doing fun stuff all weekend the downfall is that the weekend goes by way too fast.

I may be a day late but here is my weekend recap. I will start with Thursday night because this week that was part of the weekend since it was St. Patty's day after all

Thursday: Im here for the Green Beer

Kevin and I went to one of my "sister's" house who was hosting a party complete with Green beer, shamrock sandwiches, and lime and margarita jello shots. It was a green green night. I came with 2 travel coffee cups filled with my drink of choice lately (Sweet Tea Vodka and Lemonade-alcoholic Arnold Palmer) since I do not like beer. I also brought the Margarita jello shots I made which ended up being a big hit (lime jello made with 1 cup water, 1 cup tequila and a shot or two of Triple Sec).

I ended up hanging with a bunch of my other sisters dancing the night away while the boys chatted it up on the outside of the dance floor. I literally danced the night away and didnt care that I had to get up early the next morning for work.

Oh and it was great because I played a joke on my "roomie" (she was my college roommate for 2 years and we still call eachother that). She is super afraid of leprechauns and there was this dude there that was dressed like a leprechaun so I had him chase her around all night...Reminded me of being back in college.

I skipped Friday because all I did was come home from work and watch TV then go to sleep pretty early. I know how lame. Anyway...Saturday during the day was full of errands of which now I cant remember what we had to do and then we had to make sure our house was clean for Saturday night because we were having people over for a pre-party before going clubbing in Pasadena.

The pre-party was a lot of fun and I am sure there were people that were willing to stay and play at our house instead of going to the club. I had my 2nd batch of margarita jello shots along with Tequila Rose (amazing strawberry tasting stuff that you should try), tequila shots, and alcoholic Arnold Palmers. The kitchen was the happening place with lots of drinking and laughs and of course pictures.

When we finally ventured off to the club it was 10 pm. We got there about 10:30 or 10:45. I have decided we had way too many people with us that it was hard to keep up with everyone. It was me and 3 of my sisters (Elle, Roomie, and munchkin), one of my girl friends and her friend (Wendy and Kalli), and boyfriends and friends (5 guys). Then when we got to the club I met up with another girl friend and her friend (Chey and Veronica) and kevin had 4 friends come. It was pretty crazy.

I tried to dance as much as possible but I think I kept getting distracted with conversations and drinks. I also managed to sneak a flask in so we had a little too much fun with that. It was a successful night though because we all had a lot of fun, danced a bunch, enjoyed our drinks without anyone getting stupid drunk, and had the most entertaining car ride home. The only bad thing? I didnt sleep at ALL that night.

Hey all. So i had a fantastic weekend but its a little too much work and time to do the weekend recap at work so I will do one late this evening. I need to really remember to do scheduled postings so Im not being sneaky at work.

1. if you won the title of miss america, what would your platform be?

It would be for equality for all especially for Gay Rights. I feel everyone should be treated equal and it makes me sad that still in this day and age people are still being discriminated against.

2. outdoorsy or indoorsy?

Hmm I guess Im more indoorsy because Im often indoors but I do like hiking, beach, walks, and beautiful weather

3. pajama's out in public..classy or tres tacky?

It really depends. I tend to not do it.. But its forgivable if its earlier in the morning or before 10 am on weekends. And as long as they are classy pjs.

4. what's your favorite room in your house?

At my new home I LOVE my kitchen. I am going to have to take a picture of it for you. Its big and has gorgeous counters and beautiful white cabients. I also love the living room because its where me and Kevin watch hours of The Office

5. nook, kindle, or book?

Nook Color or an iPad. I really want an iPad. I currently have a PanDigital but I need to use it more. But I cant play games on it or read magazine subscriptions (well most magazines)

6. would you rather wear the same outfit for a week or not brush your teeth for a week?

Same outfit but both are disgusting. Can I change my undies?

7. what's your favorite blog at the moment?

Hmm thats hard. I would say all the blogs on my blog roll!! :) Way to be indecisive

Weddings (and no im not engaged) and puppies. :)

Hey folks!! How are you all doing on this lovely Saturday? I am super excited for today. Its a gorgeous day here in ~~sunny~~ overcast CA and Im having a semi-lazy afternoon (I did clean the house a bit so its not fully lazy).

I decided I wanted to participate in the Happy List over at Dandelion Wishes since there are so many things to be happy for this week.

I am happy that I finally got to celebrate St Patty's day the right way! I havent drank on St Patty's day since I graduated college.

I am happy that my jello shots were a big hit. Margarita flavored jello shots for the win. I will even share the recipe.

          Ingredients: lime jello, tequila (preferibly silver), triple sec, and a lime.
          Recipe: Boil 1 cup of water and pour it in a bowl with the lime jello. Stir until it is pure liquid.
                      Add 6 oz of tequila and 4 oz of triple sec (do more or less depending on how lethal you like)
                      Put into a caserole dish or if you are meticulous pour into little plastic dishes. Then refrigerate

I am happy that it was a great week

I am happy that I made my Febuary goal and will be getting my full comission on April 15

I am happy that Im lucky to have a great job where I make a good salary so that when I get my quarterly comissions and bonuses they can go straight into savings.

I am happy that I was domesticated on Thursday and cleaned the whole house and that Ive been good at cooking dinner.
I am happy that I made the best chilli of my life. It was mexican style chilli and the sauce tasted like Sopa.

I am happy that I have wonderful friends and that they make me feel loved.

I am happy that we booked our vacation for SF from April 7-12th and got an amazing deal. 2 round trip tickets on Virgin (its the only airline kevin will fly) and 5 nights at a nice hotel in Union Square for $736. That is $368/person for a 6 day vacation. :)

I am happy that people have already started giving us food recommendations and activities to do for our vacation. If you know of any great restaurants let me know!

ODD News Fridays are back!! :)

Hey everybody! Im slacking off at work big time right now but shhh I didnt say that. I always think "ill be better next Friday" but seriosuly Fridays are soo hard to work, especially in my office because everyone is in a silly and giddy mood and we are all casual. I work better when Im wearing a pencil skirt, blouse, and heels.

Anyway I digress, I am happy to report that Odd News Fridays are officially back and boy am I excited so lets get started :)

Making Up a Reality AKA Scientists are Bored

Apparently scientists got bored one day and watched the movie Up and decided "hmmm we can do this". National Geographic engineered an actual house that could fly with the help of 300 balloons and it actually did work. It flew for 1 hour and there was no big birds or talking dogs involved. I just dont understand why we need a flying house...gives a whole new meaning to mobile home though

Anything for a Successful Visit

Rio de Janeiro will do anything to make sure it doesnt rain while Obama is there on his visit. They have even hired a medium to keep the rain clouds away during the President's trip. I am sure Obama would not shy away from a couple of showers since he has spent a lot of his life in Illinois where rain is a nice alternative to their snow storms. Hey if she makes good money fooling these people then the more power to her.

Ice Cream or Xanex?

An ice cream man was accused of dealing prescription drugs while using an ice cream truck as a cover. He made a lot of money from it while he got away from it but Im sure it pissed the kids off when they went up to ask for their Power Ranger ice cream with bubble gum eyes and he only had Oxycodine...Okay i guess it wasnt like that, he still had ice cream but still imagine if that was your ice cream man. But really you shouldnt trust an ice cream man whose truck has the name Lickety Split on it.

Happy St. Patrick's day everyone! I hope you are all wearing your green :) I am not because I don't have a work shirt that is green, maybe Ill go buy a little shamrock pin or something. Anyway I love St Pattys day...its one of my favorite holidays (yay for being Irish!). Tonight I am going to a party at my friend's house and if Im feeling up to it I will be making green jello shots (margarita flavored).\

Anyway, since I have missed Wee Bit Wednesdays and since I didnt get to do it yesterday, you guys get to read about it today (also since I really dont have time nor the motivation to do a full blog entry). {seven} have you ever taken dance classes?Yes. I took jazz for a couple of years, ballet for 1/2 a year. I want to take burlesque and salsa dancing classes. I also Zumba does that count? ;)

{nine} what’s your favorite form of exercise?It use to be running and if my ankles werent so bad it would be. But i like the dance exercise classes at 24 hour fitness especailly zumba.

The Craziness has Subsided... Weekend Round up

Hi Everyone!!

So things have been sooo crazy the last 2 months BUT I am happy to report that it will finally slow down. :)

I have been so busy because my sorority/society has been pledging over the last 5 weeks and I am the alumni sponsor so I had to be at pretty much every single event (which drove Kevin mad). But they had their convocation celebration on Saturday so we welcomed 15 new girls into the society.

So for the weekend recap:

Friday

Kevin and I were able to have another date night. With my schedule lately it has been nearly impossible to spend 2 quality nights together a week so it was really great to have another fantastic date night. We went to the Improv to see Jay Mohr and it was fantastic. I havent been to the Improv to often nor have I seen too many stand up comedians so it was awesome. We started off the night with dinner and drinks at Dave & Busters which reminded us that we have to go there soon for a group date night because its lots of fun.

Then we headed over to the Improv. The first comedian was really funny. He reminded me a lot of Jack Black. He was a great opening act. Jay Mohr was HILARIOUS! He did a great impersonition of Charlie Sheen "Duh Winning!" and he was completly inapropriate which is what makes comedy so awesome. Then he ended with some other great impersoniations. My favorite was when he did Tracy Morgan but it was closely followed by his Christopher Walkin impression. All in all it was a fantastic night.

Saturday: BUSY BUSY

This was the last official day of pledging and it was the day of celebrations. I was super busy all day. We met the girls at 11:30 am where we then sung songs to them and did the rituals by the rock. Then we did our afternoon ceremony at an alumni house.We then did the school ceremony where we presented our new girls to everyone and went out to eat.

After that I had a mini break and went to a BBQ at my next door neighbor's house. I was there for an hour before I had to leave to go PARTY it up with the new girls while we went from house to house that night. It wasnt as much fun as I usually have but mostly because Im getting too old foir that stuff. Thius will be my last year attending that party and I only did it because I took another fantastic "little sis"

Sunday: Sleepy Day

Does anyone else get as exhausted by the time change? I hate spring forward. I actually hate the time change in general. It is an old tradition that should stop since we arent farmers anymore and dont rely on the sun and time like they use to. We have electricity now...

So Kevin and I practicially slept all day. When we werent sleeping we were watching tv.. The Office of course because we cant go a day without watching it. I also started watching King of the Crown which is a beauty pagent show (that isnt as scary as Toddlers & Tiaras) and Whose Wedding is it Anyway (not one of my favorite wedding shows).

We also played Trivial Pursuit which Kevin wooped my ass good.. I have begun to realize I am not really smart (haha) and I dont have any talents that I can show. So I am going to start working on those two things. i need to be more well rounded.

Well that was my weekend! I am looking forward to a quieter week and hopefully getting a puppy...The one I wanted got adopted but I just really want a puppy so if I come across one that I fall in love with Kevin said I can get it. But I have to really really want it...

Anniversary Recap and Why I am a Horrible Blogger

Let me paint a picture for you... It was a nice Tuesday evening, Kevin and I went out to dinner for our 3 year anniversary. He was dressed in a suit and I was in a pretty black dress (with just the right amount of sparkle) with a sideways bow on the front. He looked super handsome and refined and I looked beautiful (if I do say so myself). We had the restaurant to ourselves, not because we planned it that way but because our reservations were for 7 pm and the restaurant closes at 8 pm. Kevin picked a spot right on the gorgeous patio next to the coy pond.... It was a picturesque evening. So why do I have to paint this picture for you? Well because I didnt take ONE single photo from our anniversary dinner and I have been kicking myself for that since then. I think Im going to have us do a re-do just so I can take pictures.

Anyway, our anniversary was perfect. Like I said we ate at our favorite restaurant. Its this small place that when you walk in reminds you of a grandma's house. The patio is gorgeous with trees, a bridge, and coy ponds. The food is delicious, everything I have tried here just makes my mouth sing. One of my favorite things about this restaurant is that right when you sit down they bring you fresh apple fritters and boy are they tasty.

This time I had Riverwalk filet with a fantastic sauce and cerano creamed spinach. I never thought creamed spinach can make you say "WOW this is delicious" but it did. They paired it with a Pinot Noir (forgot the brand), it was delicious. I am so glad that I am broadening my wine tastes.Kevin had a NY steak with mushrooms on it with garlic mashed potatoes. He loved the musrooms and I am going to assume he loved the steak because he ate all of it.

Whenever we go here I never can finish all my food because their servings are huge (southern style) and you probably already started to fill yourself up on apple fritters before you even got your meal. The service is always fantastic as well. Since it was our anniversary they brought us out an ice cream with chocolate syrup to share.

After dinner we went to my happy place, our hookah lounge. It was nice to just be able to sit and relax with Kevin. We havent seen much of eachother because my schedule lately has been hectic with work and pledging stuff for my society/sorority (Im their alumni sponsor so I have to be at almost everything). I forgot how comfortable and relaxing it is to just spend a full night with Kevin with no inturruptions.

The rest of the week is going to be crazy for me because its the end of pledging so I have long long nights ahead of me. I am getting too old for this shit. Last night I was out until 2 am and it was SOOO hard to get up this morning. Tonight I will not be getting in until 3 am or so. 5 hour energies will be on the horizon.

Man how I have missed blogging. I missed reading your guys' blogs and feeling like I was part of a community. I missed the friendships I started to create on here. I missed that feeling of "oh my gosh I have tlo blog about this" when something good or bad happened to me. But I am back (for now) and hopefully I become a good blogger again. It will be tough but hopefully I can blog regularly and catch back up on your lives.

A lot has happened since I last left you guys (3 months ago!!)... I guess we shall start there:

The reason I stopped blogging for a while was because I had gotten a brand new job and was finding it difficult to find time to blog and keep up with your blogs. Well I am still loving my job. What do I do exactly? I am territory manager for a company that manufacturers and distributes engravable plastic, metals, accessories, and machines. I am in charge of the consumables which means the plastic, metal, frames, engravable gifts, and various other engravable items. Our typical customers are large sign shops, military, colleges, k-12 schools, hotels/casinos, and award shops. It is all business-to-business sales.

My territory is all of CA and Vegas so I travel quite often and I am always on the road. My typical week consists of going into the office on Mondays and Fridays and being out in the field visiting customers Tuesday-Thursday. I love my job because I get to travel often, I have a lot of flexibility and I set my own schedule 3 days a week, I get to meet a lot of different people, and it is a pretty interesting industry. I don't know if I can ever go back to an office job 5 days a week because I am getting pretty use to being out on the road.

Since I have started my job on Dec 1,2010 I have been to Georgia twice and Vegas twice. I will be going on a small business trip to SD sometime this month and next month I will be visiting to San Francisco and Vegas. So I have gotten pretty good at the traveling thing. Sometimes its difficult because I miss Kevin (yes we are still together :P) and its hard to get into a normal routine when you are traveling at least 1X a month for 4-5 days at a time. However, how can I complain when I get to go to Vegas so often? LOL

Ok, so now that you know how my professional life is going what else has changed?

The biggest change that has come recently is that me and Kevin now own a home together :). It is really really really exciting. I love living in a house. Even more so I love the fact that it is OUR home! We have a 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom house in a smaller (well small for CA) city in southern CA. It is the same city as wehere I went to college and the city I have wanted to live in for the past 4 years. We have a nice sized backyard, a large gorgeous kitchen, and it is a great neighborhood. I feel so comfortable in my home already but there is still a lot of work to be done. I haven't taken any pictures yet but hopefully soon I will remember to take photos.

He looks like the perfect politician

Another change is that Kevin got a new job and it is PERFECT for him. It finally uses his degree (political science) and all of his skill sets. Kevin is very knowledgable when it comes to politics, he also loves speaking and solving issues, he is a people person, and he has great ideas and strategies for changes. So when he got his new position I was very happy and proud of him. He is a Field Representative/Communications Aid for a Assembly Congress woman for the 47th district. He seems to be loving it so far and it is perfect for his career path.

3 years strong

Still on Kevin, it is our 3 year anniversary tomorrow! I am pretty excited (maybe too excited) because we haven't celebrated any of our previous anniversaries and we decided this would be the first one to celebrate because its a big milestone for both of us (its the longest relationship either of us have had). I think/hope we are going out to eat at one of my favorite restaurants. The big celebration is next month because we are going to San Francisco for 5 days. Kevin has never been and I LOVE SF (almost as much as I love SD and Vegas). We are going to watch a Dodgers vs. Giants game up there and probably get into a fight or two at the game (go Dodgers). I also want to take him to Alcatraz, Pier 49, Ghiradelli Square, Union Square, and other fun touristy attractions. We also plan to eat at really great restaurants.

The final big change that has happened lately was I just bought a "new" car. Its actually a previously owned car but its new to me. I am now a proud owner of a dark gray (ish purple) 2008 Mazda 3. I love love love it! I need to come up with a good name for her, any suggestions? She drives super fast (its impossible not to speed while driving it...Zoom Zoom is right), it is really comfortable and smooth, and I love my steering wheel controls for my radio.

Hopefully next time I will have photos for you guys. I need to 1) get a new USB cord for my camera to upload my pictures and 2) figure out how to save a picture off of facebook's new format. When I save it currently it is a website format.

I will now go work on getting caught back on your lives :)

Be Back in the New Year

Hiya folks!!

Yes I am alive and well but I am SUPER busy. At my last job I could figure out ways to check blogs during the day while I was working because all I was doing was cold calls. My new job is awesome but I have no time to blog during the day. So Im going to take an extended break. I am going to come back in 2011 and hoepfully by then I have gotten use to my new schedule and will figure out when I can blog.
I will try to get back to reading your blogs soon. Please forgive me for being such a bad blogger and followerer. I think about all of you a lot!!

A brief Recap with No Pictures...What type of blogger am I

Hiya Folks!! Well obviously I have been SUPER busy over the past days so of course I havent had the willpower to write a blog. My view on blog entries is to only write them when you want to (or if you see a really awesome blog journal that you want to partake in). So anyway. It is almost 2 am and I need to wake up at 7 am to double check my bags and get ready... I am flying out to Atlanta tomorrow. I am going to be there until Saturday afternoon (pacific time) for training for my new job. So Im going to make this a very quick recap

Thanksgiving

Overall it was good. It was super stressful only at the point where we were putting everything in the oven. I knew that timing everything was going to be difficult but I didnt realize that it would be impossible. Ive been told that we have to host it a couple of times to semi get it down. Who knows. I dont think I want to host it again for a while. Its a lot of work, SUPER expensive, and a lot of cleaning (that we may or may not have fully finished yet).

My family (mom, dad, and brother only) came over. We served turkey, stuffing*, candied yams, mash potatoes, green bean caserole, cranberries, bread rolls, salad, and 2 pies. Our turkey was AMAZING. The best turkey I ever had. Kevin did a fantastic job of seasoning it and then we put chicken broth in the bag we cooked it in so it was so moist that it was falling off the bone (I even ate the white meat which I usually hate because it was so moist). *The stuffing was so much of a disaster that we had to throw the first batch down the sink and had to have my dad go out and get 2 more boxes of Stovetop. My green bean casserole was delicious. And I have cme to realize that I will never have a Thanksgiving without the rolls being burned on the bottom.

After we ate we played Loaded Questions and watched The Office. All in all it was fun but STRESSFUL.

Friday

Lounged around all day. That night I went out with a couple of my friends to the Hookah bar. It was awesome because I saw a friend I havent seen in months. We were there from 9 pm-2 am. Then Kevin came and met me over there hung out for a bit and then we went home. wE didnt go to bed until 4 am or so.

Saturday

The best day I have had in a long time. We went and visited with one of Kevin's cousins he hadnt seen in 17 years (since he was 11 years old-do the math lol). She is soo awesome and her house is to die for. We hung out with her and her husband and 2 year old daughter. Had wine and chocolate cake. I had an awesome shot of this tequila called Tres something... You don't need limes or anything with it. Soo smooth. I couldn't get enough of their house. Then we went out to eat at a good Mexican resturant and had the best Margaritas I have ever had. After we got back the boys watched a Rush Documentary (which Dave was nice enough to buy Kevin a copy of) and me and his cousin (Lynn) had girl talk. We ended up leaving there at 12 am. It was soo much fun

Sunday

Football in the morning. Shopping at Kohls with my friend who I hadnt seen in a while who I went to Hookah with on Friday. More football. Watched my boys (the Chargers) kick some Colts Butt! Then I went with one of my friends to Hookah.

I am leaving tomorrow at 11:30 am from LAX and I really doubt I will be on here too much. I will have scheduled posts (AKA kevin making sure the posts go through) because I am participating in a 25 Days of Christmas blog journal/meme.

I love Christmas time! I love the fact that I can listen to Christmas music finally and hopefully start decorating for it,

Kevin and I decided to host it at our place this year. My mom, dad, brother, and his boyfriend are coming over. My sister and brother-in-law are doing it at the inlaws this year.

At least in our house this is definitely one of our favorite things about Thanksgiving.

We will probably just eat, watch football (there is 3 games on that day!!), and play games. I am quite excited about it being at our place because we dont have to worry about the drive back home and leaving earlier than we would want to because we are tired. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday (yes, even more than Christmas) and that is because growing up it was always such a great time with family so I hope that will continue in our adult years.

Oh ya we got a new kitty to add to our family (so now we have 3 girl cats and 1 boy dog. Girls-4 Boys-2). She is super adorable. Her name is Athena and she is a Gray Siamese cat with green eyes and white markings on her stomach and she has boots. She is 6 weeks old and is a very fiesty, sweet, and curious little thing.

{one} what kind of camera do you have? I have an awesome Fujifilm digital camera that I LOVE. I lost the usb cord though which is why there hasnt been any Vegas pictures or anything yet. Need to go get a new one... :(

{two} you just won $1000 and you have to spend it on yourself on one item. what do you buy?

The car I want!! Really really bad!!

I would use it as a downpayment for a car. We really need another car.

{three} if you had to choose, would you rather live with your parents in the same house forever or 5000 miles away? 5000 miles away. I love my parents but I did the whole living with them thing.

{four} is your christmas tree up yet? Nope that thing wont go up until after Thanksgiving. Its suppose to be the day after but we kinda dont have a tree or any decorations...Major slackers!!

{five} do you bring reusable bags to the grocery store? no.
{six} which would be worse: listening to the same song on replay for the rest of your life or having to eat the same meal everyday for the rest of your life? Replay. At least Im getting good food over and over on the meal. Well hopefully. I get to pick this meal right. I could eat sushi or steak over and over and over again. :)

{seven} name 3 things you are thankful for this season. Having a job and money, my loved ones (this includes family, kevin, friends, and my animals), and sports!! LOL
{eight} do you dye/highlight your hair? if so, do you do it yourself or have it done at the salon? I have been dyeing/highlighting my hair since I was 14. I have done both. I prefer to have it done professionally. And now I am super lucky because I have a friend who is a hair styilist and she comes to my house to dye/highlight and cut my hair for a very inexpensive price.

{nine} would you rather watch a movie at home or at the theater? at home. i really am not a big theater goer. (Unless its a movie I cant wait to see like Harry Potter).
{ten} would you rather win $1000/week for life or $5 million all at once? $1000 a week. that would make life a lot more simple. (I agree with Leigh)...Also less taxes taken out and I would know that I would always have that money. :)

Hiya folks! I am feeling a bit ill today. Its my own fault though because I am too stubborn to put soy milk in my Chi Latte and I may or may not be lactose intolerant. So sometimes I get sick from Starbucks...but its so good that I keep drinking it anyway. I also was awake all night with an ear infection so you can feel sorry for me for that one since I didn't bring that on myself.

WTH were the Japanese police thinking when they decided to use this tiny dog as their new police dog? Seriously, who is afraid of this tiny little thing? I would be more afraid of a rat.Okay so its not used for fear but for search and rescue,but couldn't they use a hound dog for that? They have the best noses around. Well at least the police are geting a lot of attention about Peach the Chihuahua.

Kristina Ross, an Idaho woman, was jailed because she posed as a physician at a bar and tricked 2 women into agreeing to a breast exam. Okay folks, when you are at a bar there are a couple of things you shouldn't believe or do and one of those are let someone (even if they are a doctor) give you a breast exam at the bar. Whats next? A pap smear up on the pool table? Two women actually let this "doctor" fondle their breasts at the bar... I think they should be jailed for being so naive.

A Wisconsan man shot his TV after hearing that Bristol Palin made it to the Dancing with the Stars finale. Now I understand his anger and frustration at Bristol making it to the finale but seriously what did his poor TV do? Nothing! So the man was charged with reckless endangerment and using a deadly weapon and the TV did not survive.

Oh I got an award recently that I forgot to post about on here because I have been ~~super busy laying around on my butt watching reality tv~~ a bad blogger. Jumble Mash (who has an awesome frickin random and funny blog that you all should check out) passed this award onto me about a week ago so now I need to pass it on as well :)

She gave me the Honest Scrap award which I am honored to recieve because I try to be as honest and real as possible on here and also because I love Jumble Mash.

The only rule for this award is to list 10 honest things about myself. Oh Lordy!

1) I use to have a big lying problem (I dont really have that anymore, or I don't think so). I use to lie about stupid stuff though or to make up stories to make myself seem like I had a cool life. Yah now I just embrace my hum drum lifestyle
2) I have days where I feel fat and ugly. And even though I am not anywhere close to being fat I still beat myself up over a tiny bit of pudge
3) I use to be a strong conservative Republican...until I realized that all my beliefs were indeed liberal.
4) I am pretty passive with my friends. If they want to do something that I don't want to do I will usually go along with it just because I don't want to mix things up.
5) I hate hate hate when anything negative is said about the homosexual community and that is the one thing I will have a debate about no matter what. My little brother is gay and several of my friends are also gay.
6) I have lost friendships over a sports team... Yah I am that lame
7) I have an unhealthy addiction for bad bad reality shows. I just finished watching a full season of Toddlers & Tiaras and was disappointed there wasn't another I could watch. I have watched 4 seasons of Making the Team: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.
8) I have over 60 pairs of underwear...I think I have a problem.
9) I use to have a shopping problem where I would shop when I was depressed or having a bad day. Shopping is like my comfort food but I have been doing a lot better at hiding it.
10) I was raised religious and spent a lot of time in church. Now I avoid churches, I don't like nor follow a specific religion, and I am still trying to figure out what exactly I believe in.

Hiya folks! How are you? I am great. I had a fantastic day that included a picnic and a walk with Chey and her daughter and then date night at one of my favorite restaurants. I ate too much but it was super yummy. I had Clam Chowder (divine), Steak Yakatori (orgasmic) and a Devil sushi roll (tasty and spicy). So I figured I would do Wee Bit Of Me since I really don't miss out on doing these. Enjoy. And look at my earlier post for a mini Vegas recap if you haven't already.

{one} what time do you normally wake up?Um it depends. When I am actually working usually 6 am. Currently (since I am not working) and on weekends usually 9 am{two} do you have a go-to song for karaoke?I don't go enough to have a go-to song but I guess if I did it would be "Just a Girl" by Gwen Stefani.
{three} if you could only see black and white except for one color, what color would you choose to see?I would want to see green because even though I am not a "nature girl" I think I would be sad if I couldnt see grass, trees, and other plants.

{four} what color best matches your personality?I would say pink because its bright and crazy.
{five} if you could choose one meal to cook better than anyone else, what would it be?Hmm Ive seen so many good answers. I like Leigh Ashley's answer of sushi. But I guess I would want to be the best at making steak or chili. Kevin already says I make great chili but it would be awesome to be the best at making it and imagine all the chili cookoffs I could win. But steak...Man steak is SOOO good!

{six} how many keys do you have on your key ring?I think 6 or 7 (car, condo complex door, mail, kevin's work, kevin's parking garage, and one random){seven} do you give your pets birthday/christmas gifts?Of course. They get christmas stockings (decorated with their names even). Usually toys. They tend to like the wrapping paper more{eight} when your plate has different foods on it, do you mix or not?No!! I will even put up barriers between some of my food (i.e. ketchup and hamburger). I don't like my food touching especially sauces and bread.{nine} if you could hire someone to do one thing for you all the time, what would it be?I would say its a toss up between cooking and cleaning... Can I just say "keep house" and that would include all of that {ten} when flying, do you prefer the window or aisle seat?Well i like both. I like the window because I like looking out. Look Who's Back! Back Again!

Yep I didn't die in Vegas. I got back Monday evening and I slept/rested all day yesterday. Vegas was BEYOND amazing and I had a blast. I will do a recap soon but I can't find my camera cord so I may do a recap with no pictures and then share the pictures later lol. We shall see.

Here is a quick recap of what we did though and some tips to do Vegas right,

Friday Night: We arrived really late at night. Went to walk around New York, New York, Excalibur, and the Luxor. It was just a fun night of being silly and touristy.

Tip: Ask for directions if you cant find something or else you will just be wandering around aimlessly.

Saturday: Drink all day party all night-motto for Saturday! Walked the strip from 10:30 am- 5 pm. Then we played games in our hotel room (we stayed at the MGM). That night we went to 3 clubs (Tabu, Studio 54, and Eva Longoria's). Eva's was the best that night. She has a fantastic club and it was nice to get free drinks at all the clubs.

Tip: Get your souvenir drinks at Fat Tuesdays (located in a bunch of the hotels including MGM, Planet Hollywood, Excalibur, Imperial Palace) because they are cheaper, tastier, and stronger. (I got a football with Belinni and Peach in it). Also always get Jello Shots!

Sunday: We went and ate at Hash a Go Go which is a pretty famous (and amazing) diner at Imperial Palace. Adam Richman (the guy from Man vs. Food) approves of it! Then we walked the strip a bit more. Then 2 of us went to the spa and met some people there. Ended up staying there for 4 hours. We went to Thunder from Down Under that night! It was fantastic. We ended our trip going to XS at Encore!! BEST CLUB Ive ever been to. I would reccomend it to everyone!

Tip: Get the Monorail Pass!! It is only $12 for the day ( a full 24 hour time span) and trust me it can save your feet if you are club hopping or going to a club on the opposite side of the strip then where you are staying.

Tip 2: Don't pay to get into clubs. Always take little passes from the people on the street. Sometimes its worth it to tip them $10 because they'll give you VIP passes to 4 high end clubs and drink passes too. Always find out the guest lists at all the clubs. We didn't wait in line at all this weekend nor pay and we got free drinks at every club we went to.

Tip 3: GO TO XS!! It is amazing!

Monday: Left Vegas at 12 pm and got back at 4 pm. Slept until Kevin came home from work and jumped into his arms. I missed him a lot :)

Exciting News Revealed & Friday Oddities (PG-13 Edition)

Hola folks!! Well I am able to tell you all my exciting news.

I will be flying out to Atlanta for a week of training on November 29th. I am super super excited about this job. I will be a territory manager (outside sales) for business to business sale of engravable materials. I think I will do a great job in outside sales and I will be making way more money than at my current job. AND I will be getting paid bi-weekly instead of monthly (which sucked)

I quit my other job and I am now on "vacation" until then. I could have just given my two weeks at my job and then not had a break in between the two but I didn't for a couple of reasons 1) I was miserable there and not performing well and 2) I have never given myself time off since I graduated high school. I worked full time when I was in college (full time). I got my 1st "career" job right out of college and went from my college job directly to that 1st job. Then when I got my second job I took 2 days off before I started. So I think its important that I give myself this time off to relax, not be burnt out, and get my ducks in order. So woot!!

Okay now it is some time for Friday Oddities!

Yah. I can't believe that this is real. In Alabama they felt that it was necessary to make a drive thru sex shop. Why? I don't get it. I mean sure sometimes after a long hard day at work you don't want to get out of the car to buy those edible panties you have been wanting. Even with three lanes, I wonder how long the wait is.

Took a little Blogcation and a Birthday!

Hello Folks! Sorry I took a mini blogcation. I think I am back but Im not positive yet. I have some exciting news that hopefully Ill be able to share on Friday but it means I may or may not be kinda scarce in this bloggy world for the next couple of weeks or so. Ill fill you in with the details when I am able to. :) So today is Wednesday and that means Wee Bit of Me Wednesday.

Oh wait you want a little bit of an update? Ok um... This weekend was pretty low key. Went and saw kevin's band play on Friday, girl time on Saturday, and football on Sunday. I am happy that the Chargers have won 2 in a row (there may still be hope). This week has been whatever but it seems to be ending on a positive note (hopefully more on that on Friday). Oh and I will be going to Vegas on a girls trip from Friday-Monday. So yah, go ahead and be jealous ;).

{one} do you collect anything? if so, what and how long have you been collecting?
I use to collect thimbles (back when I was in high school). I guess I semi-collect shot glasses now...especially ones from Vegas. Im sure I will come back with a couple on Monday.

This is just a small part of our collection but 3 of these are Vegas themed. Oh and my old roommate took my black and pink Vegas shot glass so I have to replace that one of course.

{two} what is one cleaning tip that you swear by? Avoid it at all costs!!! Im not kidding. I really do avoid it as much as possible... :(

I would want to open stockings Christmas morning while eating our breakfast and then open the rest after we finish eating. Also to open 1 present on Christmas eve. Another tradition is to pass down to the kids once they are old enough and actually here lol these are imagination kids right now (whether it be my own or my nieces and nephews). It is a Thanksgiving contest. Where the kids weigh themselves before they eat and then after and whoever gains the most weight wins. Yep we're fattys.
{eight} what do you consider your greatest achievement? Hmm getting through college, being financially independent, and being able to get a job straight out of college.
{nine} what do you do to pamper yourself? I get massages and my nails done

His name is Kevin and he is 28 years old. His teams are the LA Lakers, LA Dodgers, LA Kings, and the SD Chargers.He has had a love of sports since he was a kid and is the most obsessed sports fanatic I have ever met (and trust me I have met a lot). Kevin is unique though because his sports knowledge spans across a variety of sports and he can name championship titles on the spot. I once asked him to name the past 20 Superbowl champions and he did it, no problem. He can rattle off sports trivia and statistics as easily as the ABCs. He spends all of his free time watching games, playing sports video games, and talking on the phone with his friend about sports.He is ~~the most interesting man in the world~~ one of the biggest sports nuts ever.

1)How can the Chargers win the Super Bowl?
It's not a complicated formula for a team with this much talent. They need to minimize mistakes. If they play mistake-free football, nobody in the NFL can beat them. It all goes to the coaching staff. A disciplined coach, like a John Gruden or Bill Cowher would have won multiple Super Bowls with this team. But AJ Smith and his ego are keeping the good coaches away. Once he's put in charge of player personnel decisions and not GM anymore, the Chargers will flourish.

2) Best Boxer of all time and why?
Sugar Ray Robinson. Nobody else has had his combination of speed, power and defensive ability in any weight class. Even Muhammad Ali considers him the best.

3) What sport team would Obama be the best on?

I don't believe in regrets and I am also a big believer in fate and "everything happens for a reason". So even though I have had some shitty events happen to me I wouldn't chnge them. Everything that has happened in ,my life has gotten me to where I am now. I wouldn't want to risk changing anything or thinking of the "what-ifs'" because I am pretty pleased with where I am now. Yah, I can't really stay away from that social network drug but I am not reading any stalker feeds today and that is because the damn Giants won the World Series (boo and hiss). I am not going to be a witch about it here because that has gotten me in trouble before. All I am going to say is congrats...now the Giants and their fans can go on and on about their one title and make fun of teams with more titles than them (seriously I have seen so many Giants fans being complete douches to the Yankees and the Dodgers). Live it up but you still have less rings than my team (Go Dodgers!)...Okay that is all.

So Happy Tuesday everyone, only 4 more days until the weekend (shit its too early to start a weekend countdown?). Today I have a big entry for you because I have been slacking on my 30 Days of Truth and I am also participating in Top Two Tuesday for the first time. So on with the ~~show~~ blog

Today's theme is Favorite Gifts you've Recieved.

This is super hard for me because I have been blessed with great gifts my whole life. I also have a horrible memory so I am sure there are gifts I got when I was younger that I have forgotten.

1) My mom bought me all my dorm room necessities and decorations for my freshman year of college...She even decorated my dorm room for me while I was at a CC meeting It included the basics ( fridge, microwave, lamp, bed spread) and the extras (tons of posters for the wall, girly pink decorations, shelves, chairs, plates and bowls.) Im just sad that I never took a picture of the room.\


It was pretty similar to this room. Just my room was more open and had a multi-color rug and a pink chair	.

2) Kevin bought me a camera for my birthday this year and that was one of the favorite gifts he has ever gotten me and he has given me some great gifts.

Day 15: Something or Someone you Can't Live Without

I would have to say the very generic but TRUE answer of my loved ones. Seriously, they are the reason I wake up every morning and they are who make me happy. Kevin, my family, my "sisters", and all of my close friends. I think life would suck and be very meaningless if you didn't have loved ones in it.

This is many of my loved ones in one picture :) How can you not love that group right there?

Day 16: Someone or Something you Definitely Could (and Should) Live Without

I have two answers for this.... There are people I could live without... I could live without stupid, rude, inconsiderate, or downright mean people. There are "friends" that I have that I ave been trying to "cut off" but who I just don't know how to tell them "I don;t like you and I don't think we should be friends any longer". Its difficult and I just don' t want to be a bitch. I have 3 friends who I would rather not have in my life anymore.

I could also do without animal poop. I wish there was a way we can make them stop going to the bathroom. I am really bad about cleaning out my cats' litter box or cleaning up my dog's poop. It grosses me out and is on the top of the (very long) list of chores I hate to do.

Day 17: A Book You've Read That Changed Your Views

Oooooo this is tough. Hmmm I read Freakenomics and that made me become way more liberal in my economic views. (BTW an important note is that if you are liberal in economics that means you are fiscally conservative, people often get this backwards).

Also all of the books I had to read during my philosophy class. I forgot the name of them but I never really stopped and thought about things deeply and they made me think. I know reading Confucius and Plato's philosophical teachings have made me think deeper about life and how I treat others.

I can't think of that ONE book that changed everything. Most of the books I read in college made me change my views but that was because I was able to think on my own and come up with my own political and social views instead of my parents'.

Best Halloween Weekend Ever...Why do weekends have to end?

Hello All!! I had a great weekend and I hope you all did too. Seriously, this was by far one of the best Halloweens I have ever had! I am just so glad that everything went well. I am so happy that I am not even going to pout about the Giants or any other bad sports stuff that happened this weekend (even though really it mostly was good). I cant wait to read about all of your weekends and see costumes :)

(Epic) Weekend Recap

Friday: Chill Night

So Friday we went over to Chris and D-lo's (from HumbleAblog) house and had a nice dinner and hang out time with them, Chris and Rosemary (Ro Ro Ro Your Blog), and James . We ordered pizza and watched the Lakers win(!!). We also had fantastic apple cake that D-lo and Chris made. It was delicious and I usually don't like fruit cakes or pies. It was nice to have girl talk with D-lo and Rosemary. All in all it was a chill night, its too bad that we live 20 minutes away because we left earlier than I wanted to because we were getting tired.

Saturday: Halloween Part 1

Saturday was a crazy busy day. We got a late start and then we laid around watching TV (me Grey's Anatomy and him Step Brothers). We had a lot of shopping to do for our last minute costumes because thats how we roll. It was a lot of fun going to the mall and shopping with Kevin even if we were a bit grumpy because of hunger (we are like little kids in that way). I might have spent a little bit too much on new makeup :) But hey its the price of beauty right. Then I got little booty shorts, a baseball tee, socks, and black out strips for my costume. Kevin got a button up shirt and a tie for his costume.


At the party we went to Saturday night they had a little photo section set up. Pretty nifty

For Halloween I was a sexy baseball player :) and Kevin was Don Draper from Mad Men (well for Saturday).

That night we went to a party with our friends, Vero and Carlos (pictured above). It was about 45 minutes away from where we live and we only knew Vero and Carlos but it was still chill and a lot of fun. Except when the crappy band played but luckily the cops shut that down pretty quickly. I liked the party because everyone got really into it and the costumes were fantastic and original. There was some intense dedication like tis one dude shaved half his head for a costume. My camera was of course dead on Saturday so Im waiting for my friend to post the pictures on facebook. We have a really good one with Lady Gaga :) After the party we went to Denny's and then home to pass out at 4 am.

Sunday: Sports Day and Halloween Part 2

So on Sundays I never sleep in because I always forget to fix my fantasy football teams (which by the way I am doing pretty good in). Anyway I woke up at 7:45 (yay for 3.5 hours of sleep) and fixed my team and then took my dog for a walk in his halloween costume.

Funny park story, I ran into these three little kids (probably about 4-6 years old) and they asked "is that a dog?" and the mom told them "yes, he is wearing a lobster costume for Halloween. You know how you wear costumes? Well dogs can too." little kids "Coool!!!" Aww so cute.

PeeWee loved his walk and then I came home got settled in and watched the games and browsed the web while Kevin slept on the couch. Perfect Sunday morning/afternoon for me.


Kevin may or may not kill me for putting this up. But isnt he adorable with the pink blanket and his jersey?


Typical Sunday at my place. You have to have at lease two screens to watch the game on.

Obviously the Chargers listened to my letter to them because they won yesterday. And maybe just maybe if they win out for the rest of the season they might be able to make it to the playoffs (yah don't worry Im not holding my breath). There were quite a few great football games on yesterday and Im glad I got to see them. Oh and then after the Charger game we went and watched Kevin's brother in law play ice hockey at the rink right by our house. It was fun even though they lost and we were bad luck for them (the opposing team won 4-3 and they scored 1 of their goals right when we walked in...his team was up 3-1 when we got there...yah bad luck)

Sunday night from 8 pm-12:30 am we were at an AWESOME Halloween party at my hookah lounge. It was super cool. It was me, Kevin, Cathy, her boyfriend David, and Lori. It was a lot of fun...one of the best Halloween parties I ever went to. There was hookah, good music, dancing, and great company. I'll let the pictures tell you the rest :)

Hiya folks! How are you all doing? I am doing grand except that I am at my job which I hate and trying my hardest to do my work and not slack off (obviously I am failing miserably). I am super excited about Halloween tomorrow even though the plans are semi-up in the air. Trying to find another party to attend but if we can't we have a back-up plan. I do have my halloween costume almost finished and I think it will look super cute.

Yes, you read that right... Looking at boobs can help men live a longer life (it can add on 5 more years). So next time you see your significant other gawking at some nice looking jugs don't get mad at him, appreciate that he takes his health that seriously...I mean come on he only wants to live a longer life. (Well this is what Kevin tried to convince me of today, not sure I am buying it). Apparently 10 minutes of looking at boobs is equal to a 30 minute aerobic workout.

There was a 5 year medical study done in Germany on 500 men where they told half of them to stare at breasts daily and the other half to try to refrain from doing so (that half drew the short straw apparently). The half that stared at the breasts had lower blood pressure and less episodes of coronary artery diseases. The conclusion of this study was that men should look at breasts on a daily basis to reduce the risk of heart attacks and strokes... Hmm, not sure if I buy this clever excuse men have thought up to cover up their oogling of certain women who are well endowed.

4-Year Old can be Sued...WTF?

Ok, so yah I didn't quite read through the whole news article because it was quite boring with a lot of legal mumbo jumbo that I learned back in my one law class I took in college, (bright-line test, negligence,carte blanche, etc). But what I got from this article is that this judge decided that children that are at least 4-years old can be held responsible for their negligent behavior and be sued. Uh, wow!! Seriously, in this particular case (the little girl ran into an elderly woman and hurt her, the woman later died 3 weeks later-not sure if it was related to this incident) maybe the parents should be held responsible. Not the 4 year old, little kids should not be sued. How will they pay? By breaking open their piggy banks? Seriously the legal system has gotten ridiculous.

Those are the only two good stories this week... The rest are super lame and not odd at all so I won't burden you all with those stories :)

Day 13: A Band or Artist that Have Gotten you Through Tough Days

When I was in middle school I use to get bullied a lot. On the very bad days I would come home and pop in my Mariah Carey "Rainbow" cd and listen to it and just allow myself to cry. Really looking back on it I was pretty pathetic and emo. I wish I would have been a little bit stronger but oh well. It was nice to have her music to help me through it, even if I am ashamed to admit it. The song that I would play over and over was "Can't Take that Away". The lyrics really made me feel "stronger"

Day 14: A Hero That has Let You Down (write a letter)

Well I don't really have a hero or a role model that I can think of off the top of my head. So I will write a letter to someone/something that has let me down recently

Dear SD Chargers:

I am one of your biggest and most loyal fans. Why do you have to make it so hard to be proud of? You have never won a Super Bowl. You choke in the playoffs. On paper you should be one of the best teams in the league yet you are 2-5. Pathetic. I wish that you all would get your act together. You make rookie mistakes (actually mistakes that even high school students wouldn't make). I am sometimes ashamed to admit I'm a fan that chokes every year in the playoffs (and ow every game this year).

Let me help you out by telling you what you must do. 1) Fire Norv Turner! 2)Fire the entire speacial teams coaching staff 3) Move to the OC or LA- there is a curse in SD 4) Stop making dumb turnovers 5) Finish your tackles 6) Play till the Whistle blows. 7) Defense do not fall apart in the 4th quarter 8)Get new trainers (you all get injured way too often) 9) Get a new GM but keep AJ Smith for player recruiting and development 10) Utilize your talent to the best of your ability.

Hello all! Well Sports from a Girls POV is on hold for this week because I am being pouty. I even had a good theme lined up for this week. It was going to be "Why controversial players are always the favorite" (i.e. Favre, Kobe, LeBron, Ochocinco, Owens, etc) BUT yesterday was a HORRID sports day for obvious reasons so I am boycotting sports...that is until tonight when hopefully the Rangers actually show up to play and beat the Giants (please please please).

Anyway!! Next week for Sports Thursday we have a special treat for you... We have ask a "sports expert" where you all get to ask my boyfriend, Kevin, any sports related (or non-sports related) question you want. He ~~is super excited about this~~ actually has no idea about this yet but will love the idea.
Kevin is a walking sports encycolpedia and really can talk about sports for days and is actually very knowledgeable about ALL sports and teams. I feel he would be best situated as a sports talkshow host but alas he is a bleeding heart and is in non-profits instead.

Most Beautiful Ring Ceremony and Wee Bit!

Hello folks! Well I apologize for having my days all mixed up (I am human and allowed to make mistakes). I don't know why I kept saying the 1st game of the World Series was last night. It is in fact tonight. Yesterday started a great sports week and I hope that it continues tonight with a Giants loss and a King's win. The Lakers won last night and the Heat made a fool of themselves on their game. (Super team? I have yet to see that)

The Lakers' Ring Ceremony was probably the best that they have ever had (and they have had a lot). I liked the fact that each player introduced the next player. It brought in a more emotional feeling. Man it is great to be a Laker fan. My favorite part of the night was Derek Fisher's introduction of Kobe (Ron Artest was a close second because I love him!). Here is the clip, you should really watch it because Derek Fisher is so funny and did a great job of introducing the current best basketball player.

{one} have you ever seen a ghost?Yes, it is the what made me start believing in ghosts. It was about 2 years ago and I was sleeping over at my parent's house. I was on the couch and I wake up and I see this white foggy cloud hoovering above me and it is making a spooky noise. It then sits on my chest and I couldn't breath for like 5 seconds. It was scary. I have had other encounters with ghosts that weren't scary so overall I'm really not afraid of them.
{two} when was the last time you dressed up for halloween?I dress up every year. I just don';t trick or treat anymore. Last year I was kinda a flapper lol. The year before I was a sexy cop called "Officer Naughty"

Really You're Going to Make me Think?

Hiya folks!! How are you all doing.I am doing okay... Its been a c~~rappy day complete with work annoyances, stomach aches, and confusion~~ Tuesday.

However, I am super excited for today because it is a big sports day. No I am not talking about the 1st game of the World Series (go Rangers! Boo Giants!) even though I will be watching/following that of course. I am talking about opening day of Basketball!! And as a Laker fan I have gotten semi-used to seeing the ring ceremony performed so I am excited to once again see my boys get their rings!! Seriously I can't contain my excitement because all the (important) sports are in season. Oh and the LA Kings won last night in a shoot out. I am super proud of them so far (keep it up boys). They are #2 in the NHL with a 6-2 record. (OMG how amazing would it be if the Kings won the Stanley Cup and the Lakers won the NBA Finals?!?!...one can dream, right?)

UGH speaking of all these sports reminds me that I haven't gone to a live game in a while. Hello! I really hope I make it out to a bunch of Kings games and I may have a hookup now for Lakers tickets so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I get to watch these in person and not on the TV or listening on the radio.

Sorry for all the sport's talk (how many of you did I lose?) Okay well onto my normal entry for today :)

Day 12: Something You Never Get Complimented On

Do any of you really keep track of things you don't get complimented on? I don't. I mean I'm sure I never get complimented on my earlobes, left knee, the way I sneeze,or my pinky toenail. Did I miss the memo that we are suppose to get complimented on things all the time? I guess if I was to have to pick I would say it would be a tie between my voice and my cleaning ability.

1) My voice sounds very nasaly and quite annoying. Multiple that annoyance level by 25 if I have any sugar or alcohol in me. I sound like a mix between Fran Drescher and a crow. Yah not the sexiest voice. My voice is sexy if I have had too much to drink or if I stayed up way too late.

2) I have no cleaning ability nor an motivation to clean ever. Kevin will gladly confirm this so that is why I would never be complimented on this :)

When the Going Gets Tough...Drink Up!!

Hmm sounds like the typical advice I got when I was in college. The highlight of my weekend (Saturday night) made me feel like I was in college again... Crazy times... Well as promised here is my weekend recap.

Friday:Couch Potato

Well as I stated on Friday I went to Halloween Horror Night on Thursday and I didn't get home until 3 am so I only got about 4 hours of sleep before a full day (sorta) of work on Friday. Needless to say I was a bum on Friday night and watched a whole lotta this

Saturday: Dia de Los Muertos Celebration and Kevin's Surprise Party

During the day I went to a cemetery with my friend Chey and her daughter because they were doing a Dia de Los Muertos celebration. Yes I realize that it is not until Nov.2nd but I am not the one who makes up these festivals. It was an okay festival...just too many people. But I did have yummy food (tamale and corn on the cob with chili). Then I went to Chey's house where she did my hair and makeup for the evening...Fun Day

At night it was Kevin's surprise bday party. His bday was on September 29th but we finally celebrated it on Oct 23. I was super nervous because I was throwing him a surprise party at our house and let me tell you its hard to throw a surprise party. Basically my cover up was I was taking him out for his dinner and then we were going to come back home and drink and watch Netflix. I had one of his friends arrive at my place early to set up and get people redy for the surprise...easy enough right? NOT! Not when the Giants decide to win and go to the World Series and you have a very PISSED OFF boyfriend who scarfs down his entire plate of food in less than 10 minutes. Needless to say it was a lot of fun eating super slowly so I can buy 1 hour lol.

The classic "Why the Hell are there people in my house and why are they yelling surprise?"

The party was a BIG success...He had no idea and he was super shocked. All of his important friends were there. He got good and drunk (is 14 shots too many?) and had a lot of fun just hanging out with his friends all evening. We had beer pong going, music playing, alcohol flowing, and nonstop shot taking. I think he had a great late birthday celebration. Once again pictures do way better at talking then I do.

Sunday: Cleaning and Lazy Day


The Chargers really need to fire Norv Turner.

So I woke up pretty early on Sunday (around 8 am) and cleaned the entire condo. 4 garbage bags later and I was done. Well I didnt do the detail cleaning. Man though I didn't know so many red cups, beer bottles/cans, and other random trash. Seriously our place looked like a frat house after a HUGE party (I should have taken a picture of it). Oh well, it was worth it. Then for the remainder of the day we watched the Chargers play pathetically. I mean seriously I don't even want to talk about it..Im going to address all the problems with the Chargers on my Thursday blog entry. Then we finished Season 6 of the Office and slept for the majority of the day. Yay for another lazy day!!

Day 9: Someone You Didn't Want to Let Go of but Just Drifted Away From

This is really hard because over time I have drifted away from a lot of different people. I have moved around a lot as a kid so it was difficult to keep any friends. Then I decided that I was going to move away for college (not too far actually but difficult to maintain a close relationship with all my high school friends). I have drifted away from some of my college friends for scheduling issues and also relationships.

I guess the one I am the most sad about is my high school friend, Wesley. He is one of the most chill guys to hang out with and with him there was never any drama and always fun times. He was there for me so much in high school and we had a lot of fun times during the summers and weekends. We still talk but it is very infrequent and we usually only see each other 2-3 times a year.

Day 10: Someone You Need to Let Go or Wish you Didn't Know

I really don't know on this one. Pretty much everyone that is in my life I want to be in it. The only one I can think of is my ex boyfriend. However, I am not hung up on him at all but he tends to text me once a month. I wish he just wouldn't text me but I am just too nice to tell him to stop. I ignore him and he usually gets the point. I just wish I didn't know him anymore or he didn't have my #. I can't wait until I change my number.

Day 11: Something People Tend to Compliment you Often On

Look wise I get complimented pretty often on my eyes. That is the only physical thing I feel confident about all the time. Otherwise I tend to get complimented on how much I care about others... :)

Hello Folks! I hope you are all doing fantastic on this fine Friday afternoon. Let's just say I am counting down the hours until 4:30/5 (or whenever I decide to leave) because I am SUPER exhausted. It is not a good idea to go to Halloween Horror Nights and stay there until about 2 am if you have to be at work the next day. We didn't get home till 3 am and I woke up at 8:30 am. So I have excuses for all my brain farts that I have had today.


How can you not scream when you see about 10 of these in 1 maze. Scary!

Horror Nights was a blast the second time around. I went on the Terror Tram this time and was SUPER scared because you get to walk around on the back lot and they greet you with chainsaws right when you get off. Also Norman (from Psycho, dressed up like his mom though), scared the shit out of me and I made a fool of myself. The Nightmare on Elm Street maze was extremely well done too. I had a lot of fun with Kevin and he even got startled once or twice. Of course I didn't take any photos because I didn't want to be distracted so the monsters could scare me even more. It was bad enough that I had one stalking me as soon as we came in. Now onto some odd news!

Only Eat Two Octopus' Heads a Day

There is a big controversy in South Korea because the government has advised that people should only eat 2 octopus heads a day, fisherman are enraged. Apparently the heads contain Cadmium (a carcinogen that harms livers and kidneys) so people should limit their intake to 2 a day. Dang it, I was eating about 5 a day.

Day 8: Someone who has made your life Hell or Treated you Like Shit

My ex-boyfriend Trevor. He was emotionally and physically abusive. He took advantage of my family and all they did for him We were together for almost 3 years (high school boyfriend). He also lived with my family because he is in a really bad situation at home...He had his own room and car and my parents always bought him stuff.(I actually didn't lose my virginity until I was in college so nothing went down between us even though he lived with us). One day he decided he was going to move back with his dad with no warning and he broke up with me. Broke my heart. I also found out he cheated on me for 6 months. He was a horrible boyfriend and I don't know why I stuck with him for so long but hey you live and your learn right? He recently contacted me to apologize and every couple of weeks he tries to call me to vent about his problems but I told him that I didn't want him calling me anymore.

My next boyfriend (who I lost my virginity to) was a complete asshole and also cheated on me. He also was really bad for my self-esteem. Lets just say for a while I was a magnet for bad boyfriends...I did learn a lot from those past relationships.

Well it is almost the weekend (I really am not working anyway)... What are your plans?

So one of the fall backs to being a sports fan is the stress. It is stressful to watch your team lose, the playoffs are stressful, and it is stressful to watch close games. However, shouldn't that stress end as soon as your team is not playing anymore? Well it doesn't.

Case in point, I am stressing over the Giants being in the playoffs and somehow kicking the Phillies Ass. I hate the Giants with a passion (I am allowed to ok, they are the Dodgers rival) and would love for their trophy case to stay like the one shown below but gosh darn it they keep wining. I am stressed that if they do win the World Series that my boyfriend will go on a killing spree (ok I kid I kid, I hope). But I really want to go to SF in March for our 3 year anniversary but Kev said that if the Giants win the World Series he is not going, so please Giants...I beg you to not win because I really want to go on that trip.

Anyway in other sports news...All my teams suck, The End!

MLB-Playoffs

NLCS: Giants lead the Phillies 3-1 in the series... I am hoping for a Phillies rally and for them to win but realistically speaking it is looking like the Giants will be going to the World Series (boo and hiss)

ALCS: Texas Rangers lead the Yankees 3-2. Wow this is going different than I expected but I think the Yankees will be the ones heading to the World Series. However, I am all for the Rangers going because I don't like the Yankees and they won last year.

World Series: Come on now, we all knew from the beginning of the season that the AL would win in the World Series regardless of who goes. The AL is just a better division and whether it be the Yankees or the Rangers playing either the Phillies or the Giants, the AL is going to win. I think the World Series will be very exciting this year and will most likely go to 7 games.

NFL

I don't know what the hell is going on in the NFL. It is the battle of who could be the suckiest team this year. There are no teams yet that really stick out as amazing (ok maybe the Jets and the Ravens)... Most teams are underperforming (cough Chargers, Vikings, Cowboys cough) and I am just not impressed with any team yet.

The biggest story in the NFL right now is actually the injuries and big hits. There have been several concussions this year already. The commissioner is tightening the belt and is enforcing new rules and fines to hopefully protect the players. Last week 5 of my fantasy football players got injured so of course I lost. So yes, can we please figure out how to stop these injuries? Its messing up my record (oh and it is not good for the players either).

Yah I don't really feel much like talking about football because my Chargers are 2-3 and not only did they lose to the Raiders 2 weeks ago but even worse they lost to the Rams last week. I am going to laugh if they beat the Patriots this weekend.

Hockey

My love of hockey started 2 years ago when Kevin explained it to me. How can I not like a sport that encourages fighting and where the pace of the game is non stop. Fighting in hockey is a key component, there are players that are the designated fighters, there are techniques that the players know (i.e. how to pull the jersey over the head), and fights are started to rally the team and show other teams that they are not a team to be messed with. Here is one of the greatest and most intense fights of all time.

I am happy with hockey right now because my team, the LA Kings are doing fantastic and they are ranked as #3 in the entire league. I encourage you all to learn about the basic rules of hockey and watch it. I think you will like it!

Sorry my sports entry kinda sucked today. I guess this is why I should write it the night before. I am kinda lazy about sports during the day.

Day 7: Someone Who has Made your Life Worth Living

I have a couple of people that have done this. I am lucky that I have some amazing people in my life.

1) The Palmer Society

This group of girls got me through college. They are the girls I know I can count on. They helped me get involved throughout college and is probably one of the main reasons I didnt drop out and move back home. I love all of these girls

2) Kevin

I love him. He is a great boyfriend. He has helped me open up my eyes and discover who I truely am. I can go on and on about why he is fantastic but I won't :)

They put 5 pumps of pumpkin in my drink and it tastes like a liquid pumpkin pie...Yummy!

Hey all! Happy Wednesday!! Last night was a lot of fun and a big success. There were 25-30 prospective girls which is a really good turn out for an Open House especially since it was rainy. Open house is one of the main prospective events that our society/sorority hosts. It is a low key evening that is usually meant for meet and greet, refreshments, and getting to know everyone. This year the theme was Hollywood Glamor and everyone was dressed up and the place was decorated in pearls, boas, and glitter. I was very proud of the actives because they did a great job organizing this event and I am excited for all of the awesome prospectives we have.

I don't like how I look in this photo but I thought it was a cute photo nonetheless. The pearl group.

Anyway it is Wednesday which means we are halfway through the week and it is time for some Wee Bit of Me... Yay for more excuses to slack off. I swear I have had less and less motivation at work since I don't want to work here anymore.

{one} have you ever crawled through a window?Too many times to even count. I had a habit for locking myself out of houses/dorm rooms so I have been crawling into windows since I was young. My favorite time was in my current condo and I landed in a trash can because that was what was under the window. Fun times
{two} what’s one subject that you wish you knew more about? Politics. I really want to know more about it...I am trying to learn. Geography too or basic directions really
{three} who’s your favorite villain?Hmmm I don't think i have one off the top of my head. I really liked Heath Ledgers rendition of the Joker in The Dark Niight. it was perfect.

I hope that I never ever have to bury my child. I have had quite a few of my friends die young and the first funeral I went to was of a 6 month old baby. More than anything it breaks my heart to see the parents and how sad they are. I hope that I never have to go through the heartbreak of having my kids die too young.

Hiya folks!! So it is pouring rain here in southern CA and it is thundering too. I am loving it...Well except when I have to go outside in it because I don't have an umbrella and my hair is not that happy about it. I was motivated by the rain so I finally did what I do every fall, I put a pump of pumpkin in my Grande Iced Chi Latte (ya I drink cold drinks year round at starbucks because I am not a fan of the hot ones). It was yummy and tasted just like Thanksgiving.

Anyway, I am going to open house for my society/sorority tonight. I am not a creepy alumni though because I am there alumni sponsor so it makes sense for me to be there (or thats what I keep telling myself). It is Hollywood Glamour theme so I am going to wear my red dress and either my pearls or /i might stop and get a black feather boa. I am pretty excited about it because I can't wait to meet all of the prospectives the actives have been recruiting. Ok now to get caught up on my 30 days of Truth

Day 4: Something you Need to Forgive Someone for

I am not one to usually hold grudges if someone apologizes to me for it or if I can tell they really didn't mean to hurt me. I usually can move past things. However, I think I need to forgive my dad for not being there for me during my childhood. He was a workaholic and also had some other issues so we really never saw him. When he was home my parents would fight so often and he would just disappear somewhere. I also need to forgive him for his broken promises. I mean sure he shouldn't have broken a bunch of promises but I am an adult and I need to just get over it. I need to be nicer to my dad, for so long I was brainwashed to not like him but really I love my dad. He does try and I know he truly loves and cares about all of us kids. He only wants the best for us. I love my dad :)

I want to travel. I want to travel all over the world. I have never really traveled before, unless you count short weekend trips. The furthest I have ever been was Indiana and that was for a baton competition and it wasn't much of a vacation. I have never even left the country.
